| It also works over in aus, where Monday nights are a spectacle of the week. I mean I know they have a wider tv audience, and rugby league is a lot bigger over there. But this really could boost rugby league in England

| Attendances do drop for the Monday night NRL games but again, it's only just been brought back in the last few years over there and I like the idea. I bet the viewing figures will be higher than Friday nights, because what else do people do Mondays?

1) IMO Monday is not a very family-friendly night
2) Whilst not against MNF in itself, it seems a shame that every year the fixtures are issued, the come with a free bottle of tipp-ex to cover all the changes. Why these sort of things couldn't be sorted BEFORE the official fixture lists are published are anyone's guess
3) Whilst at the moment, it is a local fixture with little travel involved for either side, how long will this last ? Are we going to be looking at a Widnes or London away trip on a Monday night going forward, because I trust the edicts of SL and the RFL about as far as I could throw them.

Having no children, that is something I had not thought about. Maybe Sky have not thought of that either, but more likely they do not care. RL seems to be different to football, having more of a family atmosphere. But I wonder how many children that attend will be below the age that it would matter if they had a late night once in a while on a school night?

In an ideal world it shouldn't make any difference what day of the week the fixtures are on.

To me that is the biggest problem. As I said before it shouldn't matter to much to most fans if they are travelling Monday or Friday, but will attendances falter, especially with all Monday fixtures televised? Definately. What affect will this have on clubs finances? A positive due to the TV income, or a negative for low attendances?

Is that guesswork? Because it's meant to be Salford v Bradford.

Instead of the Saturday night games.
I imagine that GH will be pleased since it must be easier to sell corporate hospitality packages on a Monday night than a Saturday night.

Have to wait and see on that one. On a Friday/Saturday night the corporate types will probably spend more as they do not have to go to work the following day. On a Monday night most will have to be at work the following day so might not put as much over the bar etc...

| From a selfish point of view, I like the Friday night games.....can go for a few after the match and i'm in a good mood because it's a weekend. But I remember when we changed to Friday nights from Sunday afternoons........the old man wasnt happy......he still isnt - but he accepts it......as we all will!

Again only guessing but would assume it will only effect games when we are on the box

| The TV Viewing figures might well be better on Monday than a Saturday. If people who have not watched league in the past start watching it and like it, then its a damn good idea. I know myself I personally watch more football on a Monday night than on a Saturday night throughout the winter months.
