From what I deduce from a brief reading & listening is that the RFL have bought the long-lease from the Bulls. The info is out there if you take off the blinkers.

As I said on there, provided it's in the interests of both the Bulls and the RFL, I have no problem with it.

I disagree that the info is out there though. Statements released publically so far leave a lot to the imagination, and as much as I think the speculation on RAB is educated and probably pretty close, much of it is still speculation.

It does highlight a very sad state of affairs at our nearest and dearest rivals. Hetherington probably knew about this when we could really have closed them down for good following the "Iestyngate" scandle.

It does lead the question about where has all the money gone from the early naughties when they were pulling in big crowds and winning things. Also the "big money" for Fielden, the substantial six figure sum for Lynch....

I should have suspected something last year in my quest for information about rugby league players who have served this country in times of conflict... The reply from the Bradford Bulls didnt have a stamp on it and I ended up paying £1.38!!

Disgusting investment by the RFL when they could have been bailing out the rhinos for a new south stand and north stand at the dilapidated Headingley instead.

I would guess the vast majority of clubs operate at a loss, what Bradford doesn't have is a rich backer prepared to throw his/her money into, almost literally, a bottomless pit.

So where does that leave us when Paul Caddick decides he has had enough - and I believe it will happen sooner rather than later for us.

No idea, but there are a few more sugar daddies in Leeds than Bradford, especially as their only rich person, Kenny M, won't put in a penny despite professing to be a fan. But the RFL would recognise the importance of Leeds to RL, even more than Bradford, I am sure. Afterall they have been in the pay of GH for a number of years if you are to believe other paranoids.

The RFL could buy 45 Odsal's and still have 45p left in change OR they could buy a north stand brick at Headingley instead, which, in years to come, might just become a permanent reminder of their support and dedication to the importance of Leeds.

To be fair, the pit at Bradford isn't bottomless. They have put the pitch at the bottom of it. Seriously, if you look really carefully into the distance from the terraces you can just about make it out.

This deal seems like a good one for the RFL and a good one for Bradford. How and why the Bullies have got into the position they are in is a matter for debate - IMO whilst some Bulls fans are happy to blame Harrisgate one way or another they should also consider who accepted the original Odsal deal which left them with cash in the bank but, apparently, a stadium that costs them more than they could ever afford to maintain.

I thought that was just a pipedream. With Ramroddings' wealth behind it, surely it's a done deal. Announcement expected soon...
