| I remember the incident.
IIRC it was in the closing minutes of the game and Sinfield got penalised for it but, in the post-match interview, Tony Smith commended it as inventive play.
There was a similar incident a long time ago where (I think) Neil Fox, whilst telling the ref he was taking a tap, pointed at the sticks and thereby fooled the opposition into relaxing.
That was legal.

I beg to differ my good man. He is in fact the second most penalised player for Leeds in SL this year.
Behind my 2nd favourite player.
Am I turning into one of those women off American romantic comedies that keeps falling for the wrong type of man?

| While looking up the penalty stats, I learned that according to the SL official stats (unreliable as they are), Leeds are currently the leagu leaders on missed tackles.
We are also 4th on errors (is a missed tackle not an error?) and 5th on penalties conceded.
All in all, we're doing well on many statistical league tables....

| In context, in 2009 we missed 30 tackles all year. We have already missed 23 this year...

| Furthermore, according to the SL website, Weller Hauraki has missed more tackles on his own than the whole Leeds team.
I therefore move that no attention be paid to the official stats, and my previous posts are ignored.
I bet we're not doing right well though.

And that doesn't even include the times he so far out of position the play doesn't get near enough to him

| The stats also say that Stephen Wild has mised 54 tackles this year though. Which sounds a little unlikely to me. It would be nearly 4 per appearance, so I doubt he would have been selected 15 times if that were true. ALthough having seen Weller play this year, the rate of almost 3 per apprearance he's credited with seems more plausible.....

The team missed tackle stat from Opta has always been one for Mulder and Scully to investigate.
The Leeds players collectively have so far amassed a total of =#0000BF375 missed tackles .... impressive.
I've no idea how that compares with the rest of SL and neither would anyone else unless they go through all the other teams player rostas and totalled them up for themselves.
That said, as I've just totalled the St Helens side from Friday by adding the missing players (who have played SL this season): Gardner, Pryce, Perry, Flannery, Clough, Wheeler, Ashurst, Armstrong, Ashe and Hale: the comparitive Saints total is =#FF0000347
So Leeds are still on top so far.

I went back onto the site in my dinner break, convinced I must be missing something. But no, Leeds' missed tackle stats, like everyone else's, are not only less than the sum of their individual players, but in many cases less than one individual player.
