Not my idea though but a great name, he's been a shining light in our slow start to the season, delaney looks awesome too to be honest. a few are trolling us saying we sre a spent force but or recruitment has been the best it's been for a few years. I honestly think those who are having a cheap laugh now will be brickin it come play off time.

Eastwood is a monster and will only get better the more games he plays after coming into a new side, when we hit form and regain our confidence in attack we should see some awesome stuff from the big fella, his defence is brutal at times aswell which is good to see.
I'm also pleased with the signing of Delaney, although tonight he was quiet but he's just come back after injury, his defence is very good, he's a strong ball runner and he's got 2 tries in 2 games in the league.

We did look average as a team in 2 of them, but he stood out in the first, and played very well again last night. In the other which we lost he went off injured with plenty of the game left, and I very much doubt we would have lost had he not gone off.

Delaney has looked excellent in all 3 games so far.

I thought he took the ball in really well last night and defended resolutely.

In a game that was not for the outside backs I thought he shone as much if not more than any and I include Inglis in that.

Eastwood is quality. Just what we needed this year, and even with all our success over the past few years, is the sort of player we have missed. And I only see him improving once the weather gets better, I would guess the boggy pitches wont be suiting his style. Very quick for a fat lad, he's the sort of player you would dread lining up against. You know he's a handful to put down in attack, and you'd be having half a look to see if he was steaming your way in defence. He does miss a few tackles because of his tendancy to go for the smash, but I'm more than happy to allow a few missed for the entertainment of seeing a couple of super shots. Even though those misses might one day cost us, I watch for the entertainment.

As for Delaney, I think the fact current golden boot winner Greg Inglis was fairly quiet and rarely looked dangerous is testiment to Delaneys defence. Not a bad performance in his first game back from injury.

On the defence note, I also think big raps should go to Danny Mcguire. He put some great shots in last night and stopped the ball getting wide on numerous occasions. He has had some criticism in the past for his defence, which I have always thought was a tad unfair.

Thought he had a massive game last night. Made good meters, and put in some huge hits.

When Slater broke, I though it was try time. Couldn't beleive Eastwood ran him down.

Eastwood was asked to do a monster stint and closer to the ruck.

There's a reason he has been used as an interchange prop for the last two seasons in the NRL. It's what he does best.

Bluey said that Eastwood qould become a cult hero with the Leeds fans and I think he's part way there already. Not only did he wallop their forwards about all night long, he also ran down Billy Slater. In attack we didn't put together too much all night, but as already noted, when the pitches harden up Greg is gonna take some stopping going forward.

It's not often you see this from me but I'll hold my hand up i'm wrong about delaney.

Greg Eastwood certainly looks the part at this moment in time, Some fantastic hits in defence solid hard running going forward, Finally a replacement for Gareth Ellis?.

Not until he develops into an 80 minute player.
He's different to Ellis, more akin to Ali as an impact player.

I agree - he can only get better - one of our best players last night (along with Delaney) - even if Ali decides to leave at the end of this year - Eastwood is a great replacement

Ellis is a "Freak" player who can put so much effort in for the full 80 minutes, I wasn't comparing how long they can both stay on the field but the effect they have when they are on it, Eastwood is no doubt a very good impact player yes but i don't see him as a similar style player to Ali but which Ali style are we talking about the current day one or the one who first arrived?.

Thought he was a waste of money until last night when he was one of, if not the best player on the park.

If you can get him that fired up for every game like that, he will be the forward of the season!!

It's difficult to find a team in SL that has as much impact as Ali and Eastwood off the bench.

He's probably been our best player during our poor start to the season.
