I guess that being fortunate enough to have witnessed such a great period in the clubs history, you get lulled into believing (there's that word again) that the players and coach should be capable of putting in a good performance most weeks and then a great one every now and again. The truth is we have been average to poor most weeks this year, but fortunately the opposition have frequently been worse.

Think everyone knows not many games have been won comfortably / convincing. Discipline is a huge problem this season, fair point to pin the blame onto the coach on this one?

Thought Wigan took care of Senior very well. Everytime he got the ball 3 or 4 Wigan players onto him striaght away. This obviously meant Hall wasnt gonna get as much ball as in previous games.

Wigan Leeds games are always 50 / 50 IMO. No-body expexted us to put 50 on them last time out @ the JJB.

Chill, whilst I agree with what you say about the coach it was 2 league points. Wigan have beaten us at this stage before now and been dispatched when the playoffs come.

Having said that if grinning slaphead doesn't sort out the discipline I will happily help you throw him under the bus.

The team is joint top of the table so not sure what more McClennan can do given the troops at his disposal.

Sinfield's attempt at a tackle for the first 2 Wigan trys was shambolic - embarassing is probably more apt. Senior's first half display was woeful and his offload at the start of the 2nd half which turned the game was stupid. The penalties given away by McGuire and JJB - unacceptable

Penalties - we are simply dumb with some we give away - Ali's when we had the pressure was unforgiveable

McClennan - I am his biggest fan but selecting 17 and only playing 16 is just ridiculous - taking Buderus off when we had the game controlled was also a big mistake IMO - Diskin is a very poor substitute

You are complaining about precisely what we have been complaining about. Yet you are 2nd and we are 12th. Suggests maybe some of you are falling into the same trap Bulls fans did - of always expecting to win and win well? Bulls regularly used to win games without playing well - and sometimes we would lose them to a team who played better. I'd suggest you have a long way worse to get before you need to really start worrying!

Obviously I can't speak for others, but I don't expect to win each game, in truth I expect to see us improve throughout the season to peak for the big games. This season we have continuously made the same fundamental errors (ball control and discipline) all year with very little improvement.

I expect performance, results are secondary and will look after themselves if the performance is right.

We should NEVER take Buderus off, just about every time he has been subbed off in recent weeks we collapse, he comes back on we escape. He went his entire Aussie career playing 80 mins but now we decide to spell him for Disko? Sadly it doesn't look like we'll have any option as the injury looked bad.

Buderus HAD to be subbed,he was struggling before the match and was out way before the team doing a fitness test,so it was inevitable he would be subbed.
The biggest things out of this match for me were woeful defending,p#ss poor discipline and our coach playing only 16 men then publicly admitting he "didn't see how to get the other sub into the game"!


Plus we were totally outplayed in the 2nd half.

You evidently have an extremely low opinion of RL in general if you are categorising Wigan and their performance as "2nd rate".

Take a straw poll of neutrals and most will say they were thoroughly entertained watching last nights game.

I expect very few will see Wigan as "second rate".

Buderus was obviously not match fit yet still had a brilliant game. At Birch services he had to carryout some stretching exercises in the car park and then had a mini fitness test before the warm up session. Everyone of us needs to pray that his substitution was partly precautionary because without him our "three in a row" quest is over!

It's the senior players that are giving the penaties away.
