Everytime a new one comes about I'm just waiting for it to f-ck up! When I once watched Setanta Sports News I was sat there thinking 'This is going to go bust aaaaaany minute now'.

That was the very channel I was watching as the plug got pulled last night.

They had a closing montage of highlights since they started broadcasting. Based on that I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

Unlikely. They ended their coverage before Setanta bought the rights IIRC.

I can see from the listings that Setanta Ireland on Sky page 430 have The Footy Show,though its on FRiday at 10-30am as opposed to Thursday nights on Setanta 1 but they don't have any NRL games live over the weekend.I was hoping that they might show the odd game as well bearing in mind Setanta Sports have/had the matches

I'm quite relieved as it was one of the reasons I got Setanta in the first place.

I have always wanted ESPN America but didnt want anta so never bothered before glad its all worked out

Its not. Its good news for those who enjoy watching American sports.
Hopefully Sky may take up the NRL again but I doubt it will be before the end of the season. As long as they dont bring Tulsen Tollett back though.

Or Chris Warren. As Sky had given up the NRL before Setanta stepped in it's got to be a bit of a long shot them taking it on again now.

True, still can only hope though! If Sky do get it I hope they do like Setanta and simply broadcast the show done by Channel 9 or Fox and not try their own cr@p attempt.

I don't watch a lot of Sport these days but the ubiquitous Sky Studio seems everywhere even when they're not the host broadcaster.

That guy is dire

He was always the guy on the mic down at The Stoop, even when he was presenting on Sky. He was still there last weekend as well.

I didnt realise hes always been there but i remember him from last year and last week that guy does my head in hes garbage
