Im hearing Saints won’t travel and forfeit the game with them and Hull KR dropping out as that just ended our season?

As HKR have called time on their season due to covid is that any different from Cas calling off games due to the same thing? If Catalan are awarded the points for the HKR non game would we be awarded the points from the Cas game?
Ps I have no idea how either scenario effects the table.

It’s a fair point, will be interesting to see if Cats are awarded a 24 point victory over Saints.

What they should do is cancel the season and start with a 6 team playoff straight away, I bet Saints would travel if they had to then.

Elite sport is allowed to continue after lockdown 2 starts, looks like Super league is doing its best to not be included.

Just have the bottom 6 teams play off to get 3 teams, add them teams to the 5 top teams.
highest vs lowest over 3 weeks - all done.
all teams get a chance so no team can complain.

Winning SL means nothing this year, whatever format they go for.....

Season ended for an expanded play off competition. Fully expecting a top six.

Week 1 - E1 Leeds v Catalan, E2 Warrington v Hull FC.
Week 2 - E3 winner of E1 v winner of E2, P1 1 v 2
Week 3 - P2 Winner of E3 v loser of P1.
Week 4 - winner of P1 v winner of P2

Top 6 playoff confirmed

Looks like we'll be playing Catalan on 13th of November in a straight Knockout game.

Gives us a good rest and time to prepare for a good old crack at the playoffs.

In two minds about this honestly. Will be good I guess to reward the hard work the players have been putting in around the CC trying to stay competitive in the league, and making sacrifices to stay Covid-free. We are a very outside chance of the GF but it's there to play for.

On the other hand I think a finish now and regroup for 2021 wouldn't do any harm either.

In the circumstances, although all this is completely back of a fag packet stuff, we are in the strangest of times and let's crack on.

I think its the best way to end the season to be honest, as you say it is reward for the efforts they have put in, we have a real chance to have a good crack at it after a bit of rest, although having said that if we come ack in the same way we did after the Covid break we'll be out pretty sharpish

So beat Catalans, then either Wigan or Saints, then either Wigan, Saints, Wire or Hull and we're champions!

At least we're not getting unfairly shafted in favour of Catalan with this system. Hull never had a shot of finishing in top 4, so play offs should've been just top 5 IMO. Can't see anyone finishing outside of top 2 winning this, but at least it's in out hands, and we've already a title this season.

I reckon we should have Myler, Tom Briscoe, Hurrell & Prior back for play offs though.

What happens if 6 players for example test positive for Covid or have been in the company of someone with the virus?
Does that team forfeit the tie?
Or do all the players have to self isolate in their own playing bubble away from family for the period of the play offs which would be my preference?
If not we could get to the final with only one team turning up or neither team turning up!

Team finishing 7th is on standby to step in for any team not been able to play. Was going to be Salford or Giants depending on Fridays results, but with the news tonight that Salford docked 6 points it’s going to be Giants in 7th

So Catalan it is next Friday. Gives the team time for freshness and gets the COVID lads back ready too. Hopefully no mishaps in the time ahead before the game. Should be strong minus Mellor, Holroyd, Newman and Ward.

the wigan CC SF proved we can beat anyone on the day, hopefully the rest will give the lads a chance to relax and get over any small knocks, would love to see the we boil if we win it from 5th again!
