Wk 1 - BMD coaches team to horrendous loss & performance in a CC semi

Wk 2 - BMD leaves the players to sort themselves out. We thrash Wigan with a great performance

Wk 3 - BMD back in charge. Horrendous loss & performance to a mediocre (at best) team

According to lots on here it was a coaching masterclass for BMD to let the players coach themselves after that Semi defeat. I agree, he should let them do it every f@#£ing week

Coaches get too much praise when things go well, and too much criticism when they don't. My issue here is that it's time to change the record after so long in charge. There is no guarantee someone else will do better, but if we don't try we will never know.

Enough with the personal insults and sniping guys.

The only thing we do know is that it's more than possible to continue succes whilst changing players & Coaches the facts speak for themselves.
GH needs a reminder of how all this success was built i.e recognising when players & Coaches have out lived their shelf life.

This sort of performance and result IMO suggests that as (IIRC) clearwing said - we're simply not as good as we think we are. By 'we' I mean the players. When they put the right effort in they go pretty well. But they are nowhere near good enough to cruise against any SL side. It really is that simple. Losses like this show we could do with a few fresh faces on the field, but they're also far too common over the last year or so for the coach to avoid all responsibility.

Whatever BM did to get ready for Wigan was great. Whatever he did for this game sucked.

It seems to happen mostly in games where we're playing badly? Maybe there's a military element of doing fatigues as punishment for playing badly? Just a thought.

Around the 25th minute of both the semi-final and last night Jones-Buchanan is out on his feet. Perfectly understandable as he works his arris off. What is harder to understand is the coach's inaction when he has fresh troops available - similar posts have been made for several seasons.

JJB is one of the most admirable people I have come across in RL. Seeing a once great player struggle like last night was painful.

Completely agree i will also add moving Jjb to Prop when he brings a BR on doesn't help either especialy when he's already done 25mins+ at LF.
Ablett for me shouldn't be starting at all.

JJB still has lots of energy but can't do it for eighty minutes. It's blindingly obvious to most people apart from Brian mac that he would be better for doing the first 25 minutes. Then replace him ,give him a breather and send back when the need arises agree about ablett. He has hit a dip in form, may do him some good to have a week off. Clutching at straws maybe last nights shocker was the result of having 2 hard fought previous matches in hull and Wigan. Certainly we looked drained of energy. Also noticed some of the body language of some players was not good. Reminded me of various times in the game at cas when we were walloped. Should imagine the saints /hull match will be a full blooded affair so will be a benefit to us.

Agree with comments about spelling JJB. I watched Ablett for about 5 minutes last night and he looked like a guy with an injury, possibly lower back or groin. He was struggling to get off ground, back in defensive line and then off the line.
If he is injured he should have been given more rest with jimmy k on. If he is fully fit he should have been given more rest time with jimmy k on because his level of performance was poor.
The use of these 2 and playing ferres v hull when he did not look ready are IMO errors that sit at MCD's door. Not having better reserves sits at GH/academy door. Needs some new blood in back row.
