However I think you are also in need of a wide reciever for your young qb, behind Cooley, Davis and the somewhat streaky Moss you are deviod of legit playmakers imo. Maybe pick up someone like Braylon edwards. or if your lockeroom can take it, the unretiring and seemingly hungry Randy Moss. Who I would love to see opposite Marshall at the fins but that will not happen because Ireland dosent like to gamble'"
We definatley do need a playmaker at WR. However, our GM, Bruce Allen, recently made a very imteresting point that it is difficult to evaluate WRs with a poor QB throwing them the ball. In 2010 reggie Wayne and Dalls Clark were voted to the pro bowl with Manning at the helm. in 2011 they didn't get a single vote.
But, you're right, a play-making WR would help. I think we might look at V-Jax in free agency. If Philly let D Jax hit the market he'd be interesting

| It's so nice to have all this worry about what to do with your first round draft pick taken away by not picking until number 55.
Interesting off-season ahead for the Falcons, with both co-ordinators biting the dust and being replaced by their counterparts from Jacksonville and Miami.

'" At least you gave up your picks for Julio Jones, a young player with upside.
Before the present regime we'd give them up for has been's like Jason taylor.
The Redskins have had two great drafts under Shannahan and Allen. I'm hoping for a third and then some wins to follow.

| The Bears have cap space and need to make a move now for a quality WR or two. Players such as Dwayne Bowe, Vincent Jackson and either one of the Saints pair of Marques Colston or Robert Meachem fit the bill.
The window of opportunity for the Bears to return to the Super Bowl is closing rapidly with key defensive players Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher and Peanut Tillman all the wrong side of 30. Because of consistently bad drafting by the now departed Jerry Angelo there are virtually no younger players ready to step up and become NFL stars and there is a lack of depth in key positions, LB especially.
Don't even mention the O-line, it would be nice to see J'Marcus Webb get out of his stance BEFORE Jay Cutler is laying in the turf with a giant man sat on his head. At least Martz and his antiquated scheme has gone the way of the dodo.

| $30m in cap space, but 17 free agents in ATL, including John Abraham (likely to be gone) and Brent Grimes (possibly franchise tagged).
Lot of mock drafts have us taking Coby Fleener with pick 55, the Stanford TE who was a regular target of Andrew Luck.

| Everyone has fallen in love with Griffin after his 40 yard dash time at the combine (obviously crucial for a QB). All this after he didn't even throw the ball.
That said, his elusive speed will help him if the Redskins land him with our offensive line.

that would be his first season salary!
i do wonder where he will end up, rumours spread at the start of the off-season he would end up with the Jets if Mark Sanchez was offloaded, can't imagine even the Big Apple is big enough for two Mannings!

They've given up an awful lot to get him. Guess it'll be a couple of years before we find out if it was worth it, but I think the Rams got the best of this deal.

| It's a hug price, no doubt but the real winners can't be judged for a few years.
Compare what the Raiders paid for Carson Palmer and it doesn't look too bad.
If he pans out we're set at QB long term for the first time since 1985.
We already have a playoff calibre defence, huge cap space to address guard and Wide Receiver in free agency. If we hadn't done this just what would we have done at QB? Another cast off veteran, Matt "Kevin Kolb" Flynn or, god forbid, another year of Grossman and Beck?
When the Giants traded the house for Eli I thought they ovgerpaid. Two Lomardi's later, I was wrong.

| G1, now youve got QB sorted think you need to look for a long term successor to london fletcher, or else that defense wont stay elite fowever.
Must be nice to know your QB situation is sorted, would you keep rex as backup or ook for a better mentor?

| Rex is a free agent but, yes, I would keep him as a backup or look at some other free agent veteran.
Fletcher is a legend and, yes, I expect them to look at ILB over the next year or two.

| Rex is serviceable and if you look at the likes of KC, Oakland before they traded the house and even Houston and the fins you can see how important a good backup is.
Id recommend drafting or if your lucky stumbling across one that will develop into a star like fletcher, look how much we had to pay Dansby

The salary cap "fines" imposed on Dallas and the Redskins could be quite damaging for Dallas, and crippling for the Redskins.
The question should be asked though: All contracts (even in the uncapped 2010 season) were approved by the NFL, so why are penalties being invoked now?

| Lots of conflicting information out there Richie. The Cowboys and the Redskins have released almost identical statements saying nobody at the league has told them about any fines, that all contracts were approved by the league and they're looking forward to free agency.
Also, they have not breached any league rules. They breached a league memo that warned about dumping contracts in the uncapped year. That is collusion and illegal but in the new CBA the players union agreed not to sue.
This is also about the small market teams. They used the uncapped year to pend below the league minimum but aren't being penalised for that. Snyder and Jurrah won't go quietly on this so Goodell had better be ready for a fight. They're two of the biggest markets in the league.
I also read a report that I took as the "fines" as such aren't fines. They're giving every other team bar Oakland NO Was and Dal an extra $1.6 million on their cap allowances. I could live with that.
The Skins are still OK even if the penalty if $35 million this year it leaves us with $16 million but I still haven't seen official word from the NFL that this is the case.

| Miami have traded Marshall for 2 3rds to the bears. Mixed feelings, less than he probably was worth and brings us back to square one in terms of having an Alpha Reciever, However it puts us into play for Blackmon and Makes Room for Peyton Wayne and maybe even Dallas Clarke
