Agree to a degree, but Sutcliffe's injuries didn't help, as did/has the fact he's playing in a very poor team. Williams has never been asked to perform in a dreadful team regularly.

I would release mags, Burrow,Jjb,Delaney ,Walters.

Preference would be to sign a running half to partner Lilley or an organiser to partner Sutty.

I'd wait until we see some good forwards available to look at replacing Galloway etc.

I don't get why so many want rid of JJB. He's one of the few real leaders in the squad, and he's still performing to good level. In fact, I think if Ward can't stay fit he should be captain.

His injury record mate same with Delaney how much sc space can you afford to repeatedly have in the treatment room?
If a payp deal is agreed then maybe but i think we'd get more out of him nowadays as part of a new Coaching set up.

Having slept on this, I think GH has made a bigger mistake here than he realises. He has now backed himself into a corner, and everyone now expects that if the form is not picked up then he has to take action. Tried to cover his backside too much here I think, and possibly would have been better waiting on the statement for another week.

He's played most of the games since coming back from his injury last season, and was our top tackler last season. I don't think his injury record is anywhere near as bad as been made out to be.

So, he shouldn't have said anything? If he'd have stayed quiet, he would've been accused of burying his head in the sand. After a result like last week, I think he has an obligation to comment.

Unless he came out and sacked McDermott then some on here would've found some fault with whatever he did/said.

After the Wakey game i really can't make a case for us picking up a point in the following 4 in all honesty.

It's been said many times that he has his head in the sand, and proven. I can't see how waiting another week would have made the slightest bit of difference. Fans are fickle, and a result against Catalans and those gullible ones will change views again, as far as I am concerned.

I'm not so sure. i mean it's been pretty clear for a while, even during the 2 wins we have had so far, that the side is pretty brittle and really lacks ideas, brutally exposed lack Thursday. I will be very surprised if we beat Catalans but i wouldn't rule it out completely. I highly doubt it will be won through good rugby or any fundamental changes to the gameplan though, more likely Catalans having one of their poor away days and us grinding it out.

He's 35 & injured "again" mate more SC sat in the treatment room like i said maybe on a PAYP/Assist Coach deal then yea but not on a full 1st team deal imo.

Wrt the content GH has previous with this tone of public statement wrt Staff/Player reviews his biggest test is still to come imo i.e Does he have the nadgers to pull the trigger on the Coaching Staff/Playing staff to the level required & then still have the knack of signing Qulity players & the Correct type of Coach!!

huddersfield are terrible at the moment. Bar a great WCC performance wire have been pants. Catalan's always run hot and cold Wakefield try hard but aren't great.

It's a decent run of games to see where we are at. 4 wins and McDermott probably keeps his job. Any fewer and any more capitulation and he has to go.

you could also say Huddersfield are equally desperate for points, and always seem to grow a leg against us, especially at home in the regular rounds. Warrington also are bound to hit their straps soon for me, i can see them starting against Wigan on Thursday, this is the game i fear most out of that lot as when Wire click at home they can rack up a cricket score against anyone.

I agree regards the two home games coming up, they represent our best chance of points by far for me and are must wins for Mac.

i kind of know were your coming from, if we lose all 4 then there has to be changes, if we limp through and scrape a couple of wins then it will be same old same old.
