| Can the phins sack Tony S after the last 5 games or is it now too late now the pressure is off
Is he ruining our draft choices ( after all it was only the raider nation on hot day in Miami)
Matt moore is playing well could he have a future as an NFL starter?

| After watching that festival of shame masquerading as the Chiefs-Bears game yesterday I can't sit through MNF as my head will explode at the very sight of the Jags and Chargers.
Solomon Wilcots actually compared Chris Conte and Craig Steltz to Gary Fencik and Doug Plank on the broadcast of doom yesterday. Yes it was that weird and bad.

| Just seen Tony Sporano been given the chop, and I knew after the loss on Sunday he was going, but I cant for the life of me think why now. Surely if you didnt fire him at after 7 losses you woundnt fire him after one to a team that on paper are miles better than us.
Just seems strange they didnt let him see the season out

| 3 teams are looking for a head coach maybe another 4 could also be looking in a few weeks time. the news does not come as a shock we all knew for a few weeks he would be going. the lack of fans at the home games forced mr ross hand as well.
Last year we all knew it was over TS when owner Stephen Ross flirted with Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher and then went all out to lure Jim Harbaugh, and failed on all counts. If he is going to go after Cowher, Gruden or Jeff Fisher this time around, the only way to do it is to first have a vacancy, because no coach will negotiate for a job that isn't open out of professional respect to the existing coach so he had to fire a bullet. what i dont understand is they say they want experinece but will interview Todd Bowles
we need a front office change with Miami's season lost, Ross and long-time associate Carl Peterson can work on rebuilding their staff and organization and getting on with what will be a busy offseason. The competition for the top coaching candidates will be steep, and the Dolphins, trying to recapture a South Florida fan base that has grown disenchanted with the product, will have to compete with the Heat and Marlins for that fickle entertainment dollar. We want flair we want razzle dazzle we want a team to be proud of and with Jeff Ireland in the front office i fell the Fins will not get it
This could be a defining winter for the Dolphins, with major decisions looming in the front office and at coach and quarterback. They have their work cut out for them and at this point, there's no time to waste. but who do we get??

| South Florida is strange in regards support because of the large population of transplanted people who already have allegiances to teams from their home towns/areas. That's especially true for the Northeast cities and also other large urban areas such as Chicago/Dallas. That coupled with the high Latin and Caribbean population who statistically do not attend games in person at the same level as other groups means that the Dolphins struggle to gain the same type of home field advantage many other teams do, aside from the heat and humidity which prevails in September and October.
Nobody cares about the Marlins, even with the appointment of Ozzie Guillen.

| Jeff Fisher will end up at Indy when they sack the yes man IMO.
Bill Cowher is waiting for the Giants job and Gruden has just signed a new long term deal with ESPN iirc.
Norv Turner should be looking for a new job aswell, could he end up at the Phins? I certainly hope so

Norv wouldn't be the right fit for Miami - it's hard to underachieve when you're at a team that nobody expects to do anything anyway...

Most succesful Miami franchise the past 15 years. The addition of Jose Reyes and a new ballpark will help them.

| I was not debating how successful they have been on the field. The Marlins have struggled to draw decent numbers to their games on a consistent basis and despite a new stadium, new manager and their ability to spend big bucks in attracting free agents face an uphill battle in winning over the 'locals' whom already have rooting interests.

Brian Billick for the fins?
www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8 ... line_stack
not my cup of tea i know he is offensive orientated but i hate games that rely on a great D that the ravens have. The fins dont do smash mouth football we want grace and air with lots of flair.
he was fired after a 5-11 season so what can he bring? thanks but no thanks

Well Billick was also OC for the Vikes in 1998, in a record setting offense containing a rookie (IIRC) WR called Randy Moss lol (oh and Cris Carter). I think he'd do a good job if the Dolphins can get a QB...

Kordell Stewart was better as a Bear, and that is saying something.

| Would anyone agree if I said QB isn't the fins biggest need this offseason,
Our top need is a right Tackle followed by a number 2 wide reciever a 2nd pass rusher and then a number 1 tight end although fasona could be this if we got an RT because he wouldnt have to block as much.
Thats before we even know if Soliai is going to re-sign
However this is our best chance to Grab THE GUY since 08 so we should take it

with our 5 wins we are in and around 10th place all 3 good QB will be gone if we dont trade up but it may cost to much. i agree with Barrie we would look at the OT from Iowa Riley Reiff These 5 wins have frustrated some Dolphin fans, but Matt Moore has been good enough to win Miami out of the Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley and Robert Griffin sweepstakes.
Instead of a quarterback, here's a much-needed upgrade for the offensive line. Marc Colombo stinks. He can't block anyone. Of the nine sacks the Dolphins surrendered against the Eagles, Colombo was responsible for three of them. Upgrading the right tackle position has to be Miami's No. 1 priority if it can't land a franchise signal-caller.

I'll admit I did but then again I only saw to the Clay TD. from all accounts we turned theball over too much, our line was a revolving door minus maybe jerry and some coaching game plan changes and Tom Brady Pulled it back for you lot.
The good news of course is if we can do that against the jets they have neither the coach or the QB to turn it around.
I'd like to give reggie bush a mention I was skeptical at the start of the year but he's proved me aand a lot of others wrong. 1000 yards and to be fair he's probably been the best part of Miami's offense.
