| Quote ="BigJake"I have heard the other day there was a rumor that Marino might be trying to buy the Fins. not sure if it is a good or bad thing. BUT WE Need to get rid of the celebrity owners, it's all for show anyway i like FERGIE but she she dont know the fins ( she is from LA FFS ). Kind of like the in thing like all of them adopting kids from Africa or China so gp back there and do it. They need to stay in their fantasy world of Hollywood. These are the same buffoons that let Welker get traded and to a division rival at that. What a huge mistake that was. I watched him juke his head and fake some defenders right out of their shorts, then they trade him and proved I was right about that being a mistake. Would have been cool to see him and Bess running around out there together.
Coach - If they go for one, should be Cowher. Can't stand smug, arrogant looking Gruden, he's overrated anyway and he has signed a new TV contract.
QB - I think they might have been fine with Henne and Moore if they stayed healthy. Some players take a little longer to develope than others but not this long. But since this is about new blood, they should be wary of all the hype surrounding Luck. You didn't see all this hype about Marino and look what he did. I think I would rather they take their chances and go for Kellen Moore from Boise State. Strong arm, accurate and not a product of the system because BSU does run the ball. I just really don't want to see a situation here like the Ryan Leaf in San Diego or Jamarcus Russell in Oakland. but we will get a high pick and lets get it right.
I've been a Dolphins fan since forever. All the Marino years ( i am greedy) and yes even when things look bleak like this year. They will always be my team and should always stay in Miami. I will root for other teams like it's nice seeing Detroit doing well or Buffalo with Fitzpatrick since they were saying he wasn't any good, yet they hadn't really given him a chance. Now that he has a little more going on, look how he is doing, Henne could have been the same way but got hurt. The ultimate would be Aaron Rodgers coming to Miami, but we all know that will never happen. The only thing better than that would be that Marino just got here. This franchise has claim to the greatest coach ever in Don Shula, the greatest pure passing QB in Dan Marino, the greatest FB to ever play in Larry Csonka and the greatest team ever to take the field in the 72 Fins. People can argue about the 85 Bears or recent Patriots teams but the 72 Fins did what these others did not and that was find a way to win every game.
i want my fins back and i want them to be a football team and not the joke they are becoming'"
Greatest coach ever is a bit of a reach mate. The 72 fins were good, had the perfect season and that, but they didn't go on to create a dynasty, the Cowboys team that won 3 out of 4 in the eraly 90's was better "team" in my opinion. I'd also say that Landry was a better coach.
MORE SUPERBOWL APPEARANCES! 20 CONSECUTIVE WINNING SEASONS! MORE PLAYOFF APPEARANCES! FORBES' MOST VALUABLE FRANCHISE! AMERICA'S TEAM!

| The captain of the 1972 Perfect Dolphins, Don Shula is a true heavyweight in the world of coaching.
With an impressive 328 wins and only 156 losses, he is the winningest coach in the history of the NFL. He took two franchises to the Super Bowl—once with the Colts and three times with the Dolphins—led an undefeated team, and has back-to-back Super Bowl victories.
Don Shula clearly belongs in this elite class of NFL coaches.
only 3 coaches could claim to be better IMHO
and none of them with Americas team
chuck noll taught by
paul brown who Cleveland took his name he was that good as a teacher in Football
vince lombardi who we can say no more about how good he is

| Cowher won't touch Miami with a barge pole.
If/when he comes back to coaching he'll want it to be somewhere he can win straight away, not a long term project.

| Does it take long to turn any team around in today's NFL?
Great win for the Cowboys last night by the way. That game also showed the days of the blocking fullback are far from numbered.

Well, lets just says the Detroit Lions look like they might have their first winning season in about 20 years

| Don't rule out Gruden for the Miami job.
Things going downhill fast for the Skins. With an already shaky offence we've now lost our entire left side of teh line, starting TE, starting RB and starting WR to injury.
Next man up.

Dont worry John Beck will Carry your offense.
If the phins cant get luck we should get Robert Grfiin the Third Guys a human highlight reel Mike Vick with Pocket Passer Size.
Does anyone know anything about this JP Losman the fins have had to sign or is he just another scrub backup?

| He's a scrub. Been bouncing around the league for years. Last NFL gig might've been Oakland a couple of years back as a backup.

played 43 games with 33 tds and 34 int our saviour in that basement battle as Reggie says this place STINKS so does the team and so does TS and Ross
we sign sage and he cant hack it this is what he said
When I first joined the Dolphins, all tests showed that I was healthy and ready to go. But after practicing for a few weeks, especially in the heat, some new indications made it obvious that I need to rest and allow my body to regain all requisite strength,” Rosenfels said in a statement
Translation, “It’s really hot down here. Hotter than I remember. Some new indications were, I might actually get into a game and don’t want to be crippled for the rest of my life. Plus that whole ‘suck for luck’ thing really sucks.”

| Losman was unfortunate enough to be at the Bills when they really, truly sucked with no running game, no offensive weapons and an o-line that resembled a colander.
He'll be a perfect fit in Miami.

| I used to like JP Losman when he was a Bill, always guaranteed a few turnovers for our D
Team's he's played for:-
Buffalo Bills (2004–200icon_cool.gif
Las Vegas Locomotives (2009)
Oakland Raiders (2009)
Seattle Seahawks (2010)
Miami Dolphins (2011–present)
He was a 1st round draft pick aswell IIRC?

Sounds like a lot of once promising young QB's get hit a lot get rattled and never fufill potentiel.
Thanks for the info, but the most impressive thing seems to be he went to the UFL then got back into the NFL.
I think its about time we gave JaMarcus Russell a call, speaking of which there was an intresting interview with him in Sports Illustrated

I know that but its his play calling in the 1st place that leads to the stupidly forced balls into no win situations. After 5 weeks 2 teams came out after the game and said they knew exactly what each play was when we set up. Thats all on Olsen. Anyway, the coaching staff have come out and said they have just realised where Freeman is going wrong compared to last year. He is throwing off the back foot instead of scrambling like he did last year.... I mean really? It took them 7 weeks to notice this? Theres a thread every week on tbaybucs about it. It will be good to see if they use the next 2 weeks to try and sort this out.

If you're throwing off the back foot, the ball will have a tendency to float and underthrow a reciever. I like Josh Freeman, would like to see how he'd do with a real No.1 reciever. Still a decent young team looking, lacking leadership though..
