No. Kirke was first into "contact" if you can call it that. Watch the highlights on SLTV. Kirke actually strokes Vella's back then falls to his knees. Sinfield comes in, maintains conrtact but is carried over the line (with two other defenders).

I agree the stats never tell the story! I'm not even defending Kirke. My own opinion is that there is something fundamentally wrong with the teams attitude towards the defensive performance which is totally unacceptable.
