The tackle made by Buderus, at ALL times he had the player wrapped up with both this arms round the player. AFTER hitting the ground and releasing the player his hand in pulling back goes between Prescotts legs. I repeat AFTER hitting the ground and RELEASING.

Personally I think that the ban should stand, as that type of tackle is as dangerous as it gets. I do think that it is harsh to have been given during the play-offs after so many have gone unpunished through the regular season. The fact that over the season this offense being given a ban is an exception rather than a rule I would say teh RFL have to take a long look at themselves.

Not read the thread, just wanted to note that a ban is ridiculous. I understand that spear tackles are dangerous and need to be prevented....but this was more a case of the tackler at the top end (leuluai?) letting go as Buderus tackles around the waist, resulting in the tackled landing on his shoulders (not neck or head).

Disappointing that those on the panel don't see the difference in accidental and deliberate....especially from a player who is not known for dirty play.

Where he lands shouldn't be reflected in the punishment (or lack of), its just like punishing a high tackle that breaks a jaw more than a high tackle that doesn't

It wasn't a 'spear' tackle or even a 'dangerous throw.' (In my view)

He didn't lift the player after placing his hands between his legs.

Gotcha and G1 are funny and everyone can judge for themselves which one's a lawyer.

The tackle it most resembled for me was Coley on Delaney in the cup game at Headingley.

Coley received a 1 game ban for that, so did Buderus (at this point.)

However I wouldn't have handed out a ban for either as both were examples of dominant tackles where players end up being crashed into the ground by physics rather than design.

I note your agreement with the blatantly obvious fact that he did place his hands between the legs and I also note that Buderus ban is consistent with the ban given to Coley for the same offence, despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth on here.

I just hope that Diskin and the team respond to Buderus' absence the same way he and they did last year, though it will be tougher without McGuire and peacock.

On that photo it certainly looks like Buderus is getting a grip.
