| Quote ="rollin thunder"Bad start and losing both props cost us, plus one of the worst ref performance for some time, let them getaway with too much. Plus side Prior outstanding really good signing, great effort to get back in the game, 2 years ago we would have just folded.
Still got the Challenge cup. Couple more props and maybe a really good 6 we are major title contenders again.'"
Agreed. We’re not far off. Good season all things considered. I thought we had a lot going against us tonight and added to that the loss of Agar. Proud of the boys personally for this season.

I want Hull to win it, I just cannot warm to this Catalan side, they lost all respect i had for them a couple of years ago at headingley when they were just blatantly cheating and wasting time for about 20 minutes st the end of the game

Thought the effort for each other in that second half was outstanding, we have at last got some real team spirit we just need a couple of class signings and were getting there

| Tiredness showed in the last 15 when we looked to be coming home with a wet sail.
Losing both frontline props was going to be an ask, but we did what we could, bombed a few chances and overplayed our hand with the new obsession of blind offloads and some daft probably fatigued influenced descisions.
My two-penneth? We’ve overachieved this season, we are finally moving in the right direction but still need some tough descisions recruitment wise, still a few key players short and with a bit of investment and some steel added well be there or there abouts next year.

| Good effort. Can't help but think that if everyone had waded in on Mcilorum the ref would have had to have done something. Picking up and dumping an injured player is a red card and he shouldn't play for the rest of the season. The initial tackle itself was bad enough.
If refs allow grubby play then so be it but we'll have to put some scrapping practice in over the winter.

Definitely, we lost a lot of aggression losing mik but we need someone who’s willing to rub some faces in the mud and ruffle a few feathers

| The days of forwards throwing punches are pretty much over. A prop who makes 15 to 20 carries a game, 100+ meters, and 20+ tackles is way more valuable than an 'enforcer'.

| Firstly a Massive well done too our Fantastic and wonderful Club i my eyes a very good season in what has been a very strange year for everybody in 2020. But the effort from all staff from players, coaches to cleaners can be seen at our brilliant club. If we were asked at the start of 2020 if we were to finish 5th in super league and have a Challenge Cup win I'm sure a lot of us fans would have taken that. Agar and Sinfield and all coaching staff have definitely turned our club around and pointed us in right direction once again, Luke Gale and Matt Prior have been two of Signings of season for me. Onto tonights game it was just a stretch too far we had a hectic schedule like most clubs( Catalans not being one of them) to finish this crazy 2020 season the effort from our player was there but losing our two biggest pack men in Seumanufagai and Oldezki it was always going to be a tough ask. Catalans were a disgrace tonight and really hope Saints smash them next week Maloney should have been off for a amount of high shot every tackle he did tonight he had contact on a leeds players head. Mcillorum is a disgrace of player his swinging arm with closed fist on Dwyer is a straight red and Kendall and Hicks both bottled it, Kendall ruined game by allowing Catalans to get away with dirty tactics. Myler, T.Briscoe, Hurrell Prior and Martin gave everything tonight rest of team dug very deep as well but too much in the end. Anyway our Great and Legendary club is worth 10 times more than Catalans, we still need that big middle man to complete our pack for 2021 Season ( Hopefully a Luke Thompson or Tom Burgess). Very proud of Team and Club hope players enjoy their off season and get ready for 2021 season. MOT !!! ALAW!!!!

| Really brave and committed performance from us tonight. No real complaints from me - Cats are the grubbiest side in SL but we don’t have the physicality to mix it.
We still weren’t miles off.
Thoughts: Prior could be the best 13 in SL. Handley I thought was terrific in patches, he has come on so much this last year or two.
We are ready for these next-level signings now. A couple of top quality players on 2 year contracts or whatever will give us enough time to start competing towards the top again.

| Well catalans sure showed us, how dare we have the temerity to say they've avoided lots of games this season. What a farce of a club, they'll do their usual trick and bend over against saints next week. Tonight's win will mean nothing, just a statistic.

| Big effort though running with no props on the bench (admittedly not many options) especially with the injuries was too much and the lack of control in the middle lead to some frantic rugby and mistakes for me. The only one who didnt look to get his hands dirty for me though was liam Sutcliffe, his eyes scream 'please don't hit me' when he carrys the ball.
Credit the tenacity, I just hope that the middles are really strengthened. And that macillorum and tomkins (8 games) get the bans they deserve.

| We lost the game in the first half, but showed some good fight to make it a competition in the second half.
The McIlorum incident was unfortunate. We had our tails up at the time, and momentum started to ebb away from us after that point. Given how harshly any brushes above shoulder-height have been treated this season McIlorum is a very lucky man. Not sure exactly what happened with Tomkins on Myler but Phil Clarke seemed to think Catalans could be missing two players after the disciplinary next week.
Overall a decent effort. I reckon we'd be a much better team if we had some genuine pace in the backs other than Handley, and the ability to strike from distance (not to mention defend from distance). We are letting long distance tries in every week but not scoring any ourselves.
For me the novelty of Catalans has worn off. They've plainly given up on making the development of French players a priority, and the French national side is not benefitting from them at all. I can't see any strategic advantage in having this team in SL for international RL. It could be different, but at the moment I'd rather see the same NRL and British players they have playing for a London-based team (perhap minus Folau).

They are the last team I want to win it, which is good because they won’t. If they play like that Saints will be going at the ref which we should have been doing. We let Maloney mouth off all night and that ref is such a naive mug he got played. Even a cloth head like LMS will be giving the ref plenty of mouth. Needed Danny Mags gob tonight.
Agree about the season overall and effort we ran out of proper forwards
Add in ablett’s gob, JJB’s gob we are a bit green and as Biff T said too nice

I must admit I was quite suprised nobody at least ran in to give Mcllorrum a gobfull or a bit of handbags - pocking up an injured player is not on

| Despite a poor first half , with far too many errors , the two men to swing this game were Kendall and Hicks - both a bloody disgrace . How they could
not see Dwyer smashed in the face is unbelievable . Also , Myler should have had the bottle to put on report the Tompkins report - that is now part of our problem - we are too nice . I gave up counting how many high tackles they got away with.
Prior was superb , he carried the pack . Very concerned at Cruise Leeming - no impact to date and defence weak.
We lost both first choice props , and had our usual passenger in Lui - he has to go - NOW.
In spite of all this , the game was in the balance till Kendal and Hicks bottled it . 2 new props and a stand off for Xmas !!!

| Great effort especially with our already weakened engine room decimated on the night. The spirit is there again, just need that extra bit of power in the middle and real pace in the halves and three quarters. Prior magnificent and Hurrell tremendous now he's playing on the right. Looking forward to seeing Newman on the left next year.

| Leeming has something about him but needs to improve still.
Not our biggest priority to fix though.
We should really benefit from this off-season. Well done to the club overall for a significant step forward though. Pride is back in the shirt.
