I remember when I got home from the match and watched a replay of the game fully expecting the Sky team to have gone crazy over the incident but barely nothing apart from Stevo. The others were correct when they said Monaghan couldn't stop himself in time from connecting with Sinfield but the way he unnecessarily dips and lunges with his head was shocking.

While I don't doubt that the challenge was dubious, Kev wasn't rattled and Leeds won the match. And that's where the incident finished.
I also don't think we need to defend our captain from every keyboard clown that the internet provides society with - apprantly internet access is now seen in the same catagory as water, electricity and a working indoor toilet. Frankly many of our guest posters on this thread are getting confused between the internet and the toilet. $h!t goes down the toilet, not on the internet.

I have been away so last night I watched my recording of the cas game. Having heard about kevs so called head butt I was quite prepared to see dorn spark out with his nose flattened over his face. Obviously this was not the case, if that was a head butt Kev should be prosecuted under the trade description act.
A proper description would be leading with the head, two match ban and 200 lines saying I should not overreact to a whinging Aussie .

The disciplinary committee meets on a Tuesday. The charges are officially announced on a Monday. Do you really think it's beyond the realms of possibility that clubs may get a heads-up about upcoming charges prior to the announcement, in order to decide on early guilty pleas etc etc?

As a neutral (Wire) I think he got what he deserved. Any more would have been unfair, and any less the same. His exemplary past record has to be taken into account, just like any other disciplinary 'court'. He has been an undoubted ambassador for the game for ages. You cant crucify the guy for 1 brain fart in a career that's spanned how many years??

On the other side though, if he had got more I probably wouldn't be too upset either, as he couldn't face us in the semi. He is a born leader and motivator, and I think he'll be a major force in that game.
