| Assuming Peacock does actually retire at the end of next season, I'd really hope Sinfield plays at least one more year after that.

See the speculation at the top of the page.
If he was wavering over packing up a year early, the events of this week may well hasten his decision.

I was referring to Sinfield though.
The fact he has dropped so much this year compared to last year, does not bode well even for next season. So to say right now you want him to go beyond that must be very optimistic, or as said a crystal ball to hand.

Two from Leigh that Leeds would like, Sam Barlow and Ryan Brierley. Leeds aren't the only ones after Brierley though.

He's tough, uncompromising, a bit of a brute. But he is quite talentless.
Not that it matters, as I don't believe for one minute we are interested in anyone from Leigh.

From the little I've seen of Ryan Brierley this year he looks like he has the potential to make it as a SL player.

From what I have seen and heard about Morgan Smith and Jordan Lilley, I think they have the potential to make it as a SL player.

| Barlow runs true hard and enjoys the darker parts of the game. But is like Gareth Hock if he had less skill, less consistency, more brainfarts, and fewer braincells.
We should be nowhere near him, he isnt as good as our established players, not as good as our younger players, and is 26 years old, still with glaring deficiencies in his game.
Brierley is a bit different, clearly has a bit of talent and has torn up the championship, however he has been in and around SL clubs, and his potential isnt unknown but he has never been able to break through. When they played us i though he was poor to be honest and completely overshadowed by Ridyard.
It would be an odd signing to look at an unproven halfback when we have some pretty strong seniors and some very highly rated youngsters.

I wouldn't sign Brierley at the expense of giving Morgan Smith his chance in the halves, although Morgan is admittedly a few years off regular first team opportunities at present, but definitely one to keep an eye out for

I heard that was coming, just hoped it was wrong. Absolutely devastated at that. He would have been a cracker for us, and the British game. Could turn out a bad move for the kid too now.
He is a massive Leeds fan, so it kind of highlights something not right, if that happens.

| Disapointing, he looked like the best half back prospect we've had in years.
I've heard Warrington pay mega bucks for some of their academy players.
Does anyone know what's happening with the rest of the U16s, and U19s?

| I'm not surprised but he would have done well to look at how Brooke Broughton turned out and the fact Learmonth is now playing for the Giants u19's.

| Think I am right in saying the same agent has instigated most of the moves mentioned, plus the Baldwinson and Tonks debacle. Some bad advice being given out to these kids, let's hope some have the sense to look beyond it to the long term.

You can not possibly say that at all. You have nothing to back up that statement.
Possibly hindsight in some cases may well show something, but not what you are saying.

| Says a lot about Leeds' reputation for "developing" young players. As I stated on a other thread, I still feel Leeds are more a club who play a numbers game with young players. Put lots of players into a "system" and see who pops out of the other end. I suspect the young lads decision may have been influenced not by the agent but by quality coaching and development and in particular R Agar. Wakefield have in the past done a brilliant job of developing players with no resources what so ever. Like with any "prodigy" only time will tell!
