| Quote ="Clearwing"Yes, I think I'd go with that.
Very loseable game tonight. Our 3 from 3 is a bit misleading, given we've shipped 30 points at HKR, been very flat for half a game against widnes and needed a late score to beat Hudds after blowing a comfortable lead. Then again, there's been enough in all those games to suggest that if we can get everything to click, and keep it clicking, there ain't too many teams out there that can match us. Be nice if we could shed the shackles tonight.'"
We often struggle to find a way to win games, but we are also a very difficult team to put to bed. Especially at home. All last season, despite our poor form, we were only beaten by 10 points or more once at home. Indeed it's only happened 5 times in 3 and a bit seasons.
So whilst I don't doubt that you are capable of "shedding the shackles" I don't think it's going to happen tonight, either team can win and there may well only be a score in it either way.

That was me being optimistic. While I'd love us to run away with it, realistically we almost certainly won't.

| I think what happened against Hudds with regards of letting that lead slip could be a blessing. 25 mins gone, strolling at 18-0 up....if it carried on like that for the rest of the game then we wouldn't really have learnt anything. Seen a few player/coach comments about the match and none of them were happy with how we performed so I think they'll be quite focused to get things right this week.
I agree with others that we haven't been anything special so far, merely ok really. Some good periods in games so far, some average ones, some poor ones. Yet we've still made comfortably more metres, tackle bursts, clean breaks and offloads than any other team (offloads we're about double the amount than most teams) and we've made the fewest missed tackles and conceded the fewest penalties.......and yet most will agree from our first 3 games that there's plenty of room for improvement, I mean we haven't really even put together a full 40 mins yet let alone a full 80.

| Wow that was a horror show.4 mistakes from mcguire so far, abysmal.not the only one too and penalties galore, amazing we still have a glimmer of hope.
Looks like all the poor work they did against Hudds last week has not been addressed.

| Terrible performance so far. First period of pressure defended ok but too many silly penalties and mistakes. The attack is dire, no structure or movement and support runs. Not many bright points. Mags is dire as is Aiton but they are not on their own

| We touched the ball once in the first 11 minutes and then we get the ball and a chance to build pressure and toss it away on the 2nd or 3rd tackle.story of the half.Hull good, but we have let them play

| On a positive hardaker is better than last week. How that last penalty was a tackle in the air I will never know

| Managed to tighten up the defence towards the end of the half, they didn't really threaten after the 2nd try....but we've been so impatient in attack, playing like we've only got 5 mins left of the game throwing it about recklessly. Silverwood has been giving away some soft calls (for both sides). Seem to be trying the left side more often when we've gotten in their half, but Watkins (a standout amongst a poor team showing) and Achurch since he came on look threatening so perhaps we should be trying that side a bit more.

Brian Carney the only voice of sense. The thing is Hardaker fell whilst catching one earlier as he collided wih a Hull player mid-air.

| It's finally happened - we now have to give opponents a 40 minute head start, that's how vastly superior we are to some of these other teams.

| Fitness, that's the key. For all the talk of "old guys" we still have great fitness. Hull look knackered all 2nd half, so did HKR, so did Widnes and we managed to stir late on vs Hudds.
After the amount of defending we did first 20 mins we look positively fresh.

| Hull shot their bolt in the first 40 but we have at least stepped up and been very clinical.

| Dont underestimate the importance of a good bench.Hull have had nothing, and as good as Ellis and Minichello have been they have been flogged full 80.good to see JP getting chance to take more rest.

| Probably the only positive from the first half was that it was only 12-0.
Probably the only negative from the second half was just how pathetic Hull were. I thought with the extra work we did in defence in the first half it might have taken too much out of us, but it was Hull who played the second half like they were out on their feet while Leeds seemed to just start the 2nd half fresh again.

| Fantastic second half, did not see that coming even with us carrying a passenger at 6 the whole game, he is my only concern so far this year he seems to be well of the pace so far.

| We were a lot more direct and patient in the second 40 and went forward before offloading needlessly. There wasn't a bad player in that second half. McGuire was as good in the 2nd half as he was bad in the first half. Aiton was lively out of DH and Stevie Ward is starting to win the majority of his collisions and could well go on to be an absolute beast.
Watkins at his best is world class, his play for McGuire's 2nd try was Hanley esque.

| I don't post often, but that was one of the biggest turn around a I've seen in a Rugby League game. To score 43 unanswered points in the second half is almost unheard of. 1 half of s***, 1 half of excellence.
