Being a good professional is way way more important than showing how tough you are - this is something Graham needs to learn (and something Fielden should have learnt before Mason had to teach him the hard way).

It would seem you are, in that you can understand that you don't play in the front row of one of the World's top teams for a decade under a variety of different coaches, have a low penalty, yellow and red card count against you, win every domestic honour available and see off numerous other young players coming through this countries most productive youth production line without being at least half decent.

Why should they have had 2 year bans? They had traces of ephedrine in their system, a stimulant like caffeine, from a cold cure, stuff like beechams that you can buy anywhere.

Graham has conceded 5 times fewer penalties than Bailey this year, despite playing for longer, so not sure what point you're trying to make about their relative discipline and "tough man" routines.

Graham has absolutely nothing to learn from Bailey, unless he wants to learn how to make fewer carries/meters, score fewer tries, set up fewer tries, make more errors, give away more penalties . . . .

I wasn't actually knocking Graham or suggesting that Bailey was a better player (however I appreciate that you are a bit touchy about FGB so I should have been more sensitive).

My real point (and admittedly maybe I wasn't clear enough) is that Graham is a good example of a player that Ryan has got under the skin of and as a result his performances against Leeds last season, IMHO, have been below his usual high standards (because he spent far too much game time charging around trying to prove how tough he is)



Bailey has in fact had about half a dozen consecutive decent seasons in a row at a top club but opposition fans don't notice that - like they don't notice that he rarely gives away penalties, has never been sent off and has very very rarely been sin-binned

Bailey is a wind up merchant. He irritates opposition players and fans, he wins penalties and gives few away, but you'd hardly say he's feared. Players have no problem running at him or tackling him. I've seen bailey put on a few big hits, most notably against warrington in 2008, but he's not feared or imtimidating, just a pain in the ass.
