It would seem it's Championship football for another year for Leeds. They have just fallen short after drawing too many games in which they would of been expected to win.

I'm not so sure. He attracts a lot of attention does Mr Bates, but nothing sticks. That to me says that he's either very clever to take things to the very edge of legal, but not beyond, or that he does break the law, but is clever enough to not get caught (and confident enough to believe he never will).

That's fine for him, but not so fine for Leeds Utd.

Whilst i'm no fan of Bates this fleet street hack has always "gone after" LUFC yet he hasn't blogged on how QPR are facing 7 charges about illegal player owership and the alleged cover up etc etc.
The fact remains no "illegal" activity has been proved and as long as LUFC progress and continue to improve as a club then i'm happy tbh and then Conn can do one and ask questions elswhere.

you should read david davies' autobiography. He's a scum fan and was in charge of the fa when drug cheat rio missed his test. He had meetings at his house with lawyers from the fa and scum to see if they could get rio out the mess. A disgraceful abuse of power. Thankfully the drug cheat served his ban

Great win. Good to see McCormack scoring again too, lets just hope Larry remembers at the start of next season and gives him a fair crack of the whip.

I'd like to see Paynter leave. Doesn't offer anything at all. And let Arsenal have Watt back (even though they'll probably release him in a year or two) Who else do people think will leave/who do you want to leave?

Johnson was very good today I thought...... probably playing for a contract elsewhere as we were on TV. Payntr hasn't don it for me either, McCormack looks a handy player though. Need a left back, a centre back, a defensive midfielder (Delph on loan?) at the very least!

We certainly need to strengthen for next season but the nucleus is there if we don't lose too many to the vultures.

I would also like to go 4-4-2 next season and give McCormack a run alongside a target man.

Apart from the goal, which was an error from the keeper, the defence never really look in that much trouble today and the welcome Paddy got on his comeback was brilliant. It will be like a new signing next year if he really is back to full fitness.

Strange day today - I suppose a family club on the Norwich lines but really the atmosphere was tin-pot for a team that had just had promotion to the premiership confirmed. Good atmosphere from the away stand and some great "off the cuff" chants. Roll on August.
