| Got the same feeling as after the Catalan game last week, glad for the win but felt like we got away with one. 2nd half was a breath of fresh air, but just cant see the way we play as being sustainable for the year. Hopefully I'm wrong but think as we get further into the season teams will figure us out, and by the time we start playing the game will be gone.

| We're scoring some good tries so far in 2024...
Still very much a work in progress, but I don't think any of the Leeds camp think we're anywhere near the finished article yet.
While the Saints result is funny, we could have done without them coming off a loss going into next week.

| Quote ="Tex Rerp"We weren’t that bad in the first half. Pretty close on most of the stats. Just some misses from Mom and Croft.
Much more direct in the second half. Croft, Martin and Handley did some good stuff. Really think Miller was great. Nice footwork, constantly backing up down the middle, good passing. Think we might have the new Webb'"
Did have the same thought but thought I'd get shot for saying that on here He is a basket case though, I think he's gonna be a great entertainer come the dry months!

| One of those nights when you're glad you braved the horrors of the motorway. Few things that stood out for me: 1) They tries they scored were really sharp well executed rugby and I wouldn't lay too much blame on the goal line defence. 2) It’s the errors, not the line speed or passive defence that gets us in bother. 3) Don't know if Smith has a "hair dryer" in his kitbag, but tonight I think he may have used it. The intent from the 1st tackle of the 2nd half was clear. 4) Momorosvki needs to remember he's a good player too. He could easily have scored the one he flipped back to Handley. 5) Frawley & Croft really bounced back in the 2nd half, something that would have been way beyond Austin & Sezer. 6) We may not have looked brilliant in any of our games as yet, but I think (I maybe wrong) all of our opposition made the six last year, so three wins is a fair return. 7) Let's hope HQ sells out next Friday.

| I need to watch the game on TV when my eyes aren’t streaming and legs shaking with cold, but how good is Ash this year?
He’s rightly getting plaudits for tries but his D has been awesome. Career-best form for me.
Miller is a real handful on the ball. He is still naive sometimes and his kick out on the full was crap, but he wasn’t alone in making dumb mistakes.
I don’t think Mom is enjoying English winter weather conditions so far, but you can see his quality at times. Expect more from him as temperatures rise and grounds firm up. Poor errors tonight though.
Mik excellent and I liked Holroyd this week too.

| Awful first half, good second, great result.
Mom needs to up his game, been poor so far imo
We also look miles behind in structure to other teams, dont mind our Off the cuff mentality in general, but it dosnt have to be one style or another, once in the attacking 20, where we struggle massively, we need to settle down and put some clean, structure to our play, at the minute, we look clueless.
Croft and Miller will prove great signings

| Great second half and another try of the week from Ash.
Usual worries ahead of the disciplinary, if Akers is injured and Jarrod gets a ban then we've picked the wrong week to let Johnson go to Bradford.

| How many hookers can we carry! You could use the what if logic on any position but in a cap situation 3rd choice hooker has to be a reserve or from the academy Or one of the other squad members.

| Good to see the boys have a dig and get the W but jeez there was some rubbish along the way.
I'm still far from convinced by our attack. Yeah, we got a few once we got a roll on, aided by a ref who seems unusually sensitive to the phase of the moon, but we still seem set on throwing the ball about quickly hoping for a gap to appear. So much better if we make those gaps appear.
As for those hopeful that dry tracks will improve things, I'm not convinced. Our handling and completion are pretty good now and I don't see them improving much.
Back to last night, mik and Rhyse were great, Ackers lucky to avoid yellow. Lots of daft pens conceded. The french lads need to put I'm in more if we're to trouble saints.

| Leighs win/loss ratio since the CC is atrocious, maybe Degsy should concentrate on that rather than gobbing off on twitter.
They were very lucky with injuries last year and it might bite them on the backside this year.
I also wonder if we had some illness in the camp, Newman didn’t complete the warmup and apparently was hunched over like he was throwing up, and we lost Macdonnell to illness during the game.

Their first 2 were a couple of poor reads from croft jamming in. Mom has someway to go to get up to speed, I don't know if it was telling that on the last try Martin opted to pass back inside rather than to mom who should have had a clear run to the line.

| I don't think O'Connor will be banned but sounds like Ackers maybe missing due to injury.
A real mixed bag again last night. Leighs structured attack in the 1st half was excellent. Showed us how it can be done. We still look lost at times when we do manage to get the field position to apply pressure. It may take more time to gel but the lack of cohesion is a concern.
What can't be denied is the ability to keep believing. They keep going and there looks to be great spirit amongst the players. We look a fit team aswell and are finishing games pretty strongly especially considering the amount of defending we have to do.
Oledski had a great game considering the injury concern. Miller looks a dangerous runner and although he has a few errors in him he can beat a man.
RS mentioned that we were a bit weak in defence in the 1st half especially at marker. Qualities Bentley brings to to the team. Whether you like him or not his workrate from marker is excellent and was missed last night.

| Frawley with a great try, showed he can be a runner.
His kicking definitely needs improvement though, doesn’t seem to find space between the back three

| Terrific win. Battled well and showed great spirit. A lot of improvement needed though but it’s about points on the board at this stage and that’s a tricky place to go.

| Well, what do I know about Rugby League....
First half was dreadful, much like most of last year.
But unlike last year, we are finding a way to win.
A good habit to have.

| If we can keeping on picking up wins when not particularly playing well (for the full 80) then that’s a huge improvement from recent seasons.
Saints losing this week was probably the worst outcome for us
Should be a cracking game next week, Salford showed last night that saints are lacking a bit of pace and their outside backs are vulnerable in Defence.
We aren’t going to ‘out structure’ saints i can see is trying to play around them like Salford did.
