| 15 players used, is that a record even for Mac.
To be fair I think not putting Rob on was the right idea, we were already struggling to contain Saints pack and control the ruck without having to reshuffle for Burrow as well.
We badly need Garbutt back. I'd even settle for Ferres if it meant we didn't have to flog Ablett and JJB (particularly defending wide). Some good indictable performances and some good scramble, but unless we can cut the errors and tighten up in the middle things are going to be difficult.
I also might be in the minority here, but I think Moon at 6 has kind of run its course, on the flip side I like how Sutty and Watkins (Watkins especially) have taken to popping up all over the pitch, Ward as well, seems to be pitching in a bit more with the ball handling.

| I'll take the win, and our attitude was a million times better than last week, but we were very poor with the ball, especially in the first half, but 7 points clear of 5th with 3 left to play, you'd take that at almost any point in the season.
Overall I think the week off has come at just the right time, hopefully we can come back rested, and the likes of Garbutt and Ferres will be available against Hull.

| They grafted but we did ourselves no favours this sub policy is just total boll0x. Our pasing was woeful in the 1st half & once again seeing Jjb Ablett & Delaney struggle when clearly blowing just isn't the type of RL we should be playing.
My M.O.M was Parcell Wardy ran him close but his 2 fatigued errors neaely cost us but we know who's at fault there.

Equals the record. Incidentally the other time I can recall him doing this was also against St Helens at Headingley. On that occasion it was Robbie Ward and Brad Singleton who didn't get on despite Leeds being down to twelve men after the Joel Moon sending off and a ten point half-time lead given up.

| I was chuffed with a win, fantastic 2 points.
the game I thought was poor. two very poor sides. not using 2 subs was frankly farcical. what a joke.
even though we won I was disalusioned as, with no signings coming in apart from myler, I realised we have more of this to come next year. but with older players.
some high points too. I actually thought Ablett went ok. hall was superb. Briscoe did well and walker looked as though he has been around for years.
moon was awful in the halves.
strange night

| It;s a good job that Saints handling near to our line was even worse than ours or they'd have been out of sight by half time.
What a find Walker is! Nearly had his head taken off from the kick off & just about every other time he had the ball but still safe as houses under every high ball that he went for plus he was involved in the passing movement for Hall's try.
Superstar in the making I believe.

Think we should move moon back to centre and Burrow to 7 with Sutcliffe being our attacking option off the bench to freshen up our attack. I know Burrow is not the player he was but with only a handful of games left in his career I would back him to step up.
Also (like anyone needs to say it) not using 2 subs it ridiculous, especially when our back row was on its knees by the end of the match, poor tactics nearly cost us a game again.

| Aye. We're in dire need of a mobile, athletic 2nd rower to partner Ward. We now have 4 out of 5 back rowers who can barely walk.

| Keinhorst should've been used (he should be startling centre ahead of Sutcliffe who blew a try in the first half not passing to Hall). I do agree though with not bringing Burrow on if the plan was for him to replace Parcell, the latter was playing way too good to take off and deservedly MOM.
Wasn't the best performance but being in the South Stand especially 2nd half the atmosphere was great and as someone who sometimes scoffs at talk of home field advantage there was no doubt the occasion and the South Stand helped get the guys over the line. Towards the end it felt like a playoff semi wrt the tension and atmosphere.
P.S. whoever thought of those blue and amber cannom streams....FFS. Just cluttered up the near wing and had to be scraped off.

| Where would we be without Parcell and Cuthbertson? Seriously take them out and would we actually beat anyone? Parcell was unbelievable last night, and Cuthbertsons second later spell really took Saints apart. Yes we got a fair few lucky decisions with Thaler, but on the back of Parcell and Cuthbertson we really took the game well in that last 30 minutes.

First half was horrendous. Can't tell me championship teams couldn't have produced better quality. This is why Cas are League Leaders, not because they are that good, but because everyone else is so inconsistent, with many a poor game.

I agree that the quality this season is the worst it's been, but Cas would still be up there with the rugby they play. Watching some of the old highlights on the big screen was somewhat depressing. Seeing backs with pace to burn, some of the tries the old teams scored - put into perspective bow the quality has dropped.
I think we're benefiting from it more than anyone. No way is this a top 2 quality team.

I said something similar yesterday. Either way, we need to decide on a permanent position for him, he's too much of a good player to just be a utility.
