Cas have literally given us two tries to put down over the line. Anything where we have to actually carry the ball, forget it.

Other than Eden, Cas's 3/4s haven't done much. They've done better than Leeds but hardly been good.

Our biggest problem all night has been constant drop ball and 80percent of the time, it's been dropped cold. Really bad, and Mac should be tearing a strip off them all after this.

There's not much the coach can do with a completion rate barely over 50%. The handling was fascicle

Fair play to Cas mind.they controlled the game and the ball far better than us, line speed was good all night for them and they again had more guile in attack when it mattered, you certainly wouldn't have thought it was us with the 7 day turnaround after playing against part timers.

If Handley was stepping up i would axe him but he isn't doing enough either sadly.

He should man up to Hetherington, tell him that the players simply aren't good enough, then quit. It's a fact that they're not and it's a fact he can no longer wring a performance out of them when it's needed.

What "past mistakes"? Be specific, you've just made a general statement which doesn't actually make sense under scrutiny.

Leeds shipped 60 early season so based on that alone you could argue he has learnt. Furthermore, tonight leeds problem was dropped ball, which I don't think was the main issue in Newcastle.

Cas are just better than us this season, but we can probably beat them once out of 5 attempts if we are at 100%.

Couldn't believe the amount of dropped ball. I've not seen the stats but it must have been in the 20s.

Positive is that we defended well against them. We coukd have won if we'd ever manned to get near their line

I'm still not writing us off after that. We can't drop as much possession as that again surely? We're in dire need of a cool head in the team. The petulance was embarrassing at times. I thought we kept our attack too narrow, and should've got the ball wider of the ruck more often. Cas were strong in the middle - they were miles better in this area than last week, and their line speed was excellent. We should've adapted to that. I actually thought we should've tried a few more chips over the top as our kicking game from deep was terrible, and Cas' kick pressure was also on point.
I thought we defended OK overall, but we made it too easy for Cas because of our failure to control possession.
