I think that the main reason for the meeting which involved YCCC was to look at all the options for developing the entire stadium.
As ever finance is the major stumbling block so it was important to get all the interested parties round the table to discuss an overall timetable & to gauge the council's view.
It's worth mentioning that due the amount of money owed by YCCC to the council (borrowed to buy their part of the ground & to fund previous redevelopments) the council has a representative on the YCCC board.

Maybe they'll offer to write off the loan to YCCC for a vastly reduced price - they've got previous for stiffing the rate/council tax payers of the city in their dealings with professional sports clubs after all.

As long as a few councillors get some freebies for Tests and ODIs in a nice comfortable executive box, obviously.

Anyone know what happened on the thing to decide Leeds greatest ever team thats been going on over the season?has that been put on hold too till the SS is back on the agenda?

£500 would buy you 5 bricks and you'd have change from that. A snip at £90 a brick - the 500 comes in as there are only 500 bricks allegedly.

The Buy a Brick scheme is for the North Stand isn't it? I thought it was for in the players tunnel near the changing rooms.

My understanding from good souces is that the delay in the SS is not due to any lack of funds. It had to be delayed as they ran out of time and it would not be ready in time for next season after deplays due to planning approval on redesign. It should now go ahead in time for the following season.

How long do they expect the build of the SS to take?

If they still have ambitions to stage world cup games its going to have to be started in much less than a years time

Now we know we'll be hosting World Cup games in 2013 - does this mean we'll build the new Southstand quick to have it ready in time, or delay until after 2013... Seem a shame to invite the world's media to see the Southstand in it's current state.

I thought the plan was to start building it immediately at the end of the 2012 season? Admittedly I'm no expert but I wouldn't have thought it would take 12 months to build a basic stand?

What in getting the council to stump up the bulk of the cost in an economical climate that is tough on clubs in a sport that doesnt generate millions and millions of profit?

Perhaps he ought to try the lottery funding route instead?
