To be fair, he did say "that's why I love Rugby League" as soon as Hall scored the try. He probably was crying, mind.

Did he ever. He was repeatedly calling for burrow to scoot in the middle of the pitch 10m out from the giants line with the giants defence completely set...does he think burrow would power his way through one of the strongest defensive units in SL

he did it a couple of times for Burrow and at least once for robinson 10 from the line and on 5th tackle. He is embarrassing

Totally wrong about Carney, he looks for every opportunity to be critical of Wigan... He IS neutral with others.. Wiggy and Stevo are both anti-Wigan, but other fans won't notice that, as it just plays along with their hatred of Wigan too...

If you're not a Wigan fan and especially if you're a Leeds fan, Clarke comes across as a partisan tool. He loves to get himself into a lather about why Leeds aren't as good as Wigan and is happiest when predicting the end of our season, which he usually starts doing in Feb / March. He is in short a Thrush. But I try to take all that as part of the patina of the Sky coverage. But what is really winding me up is how much of the action, visual and verbal, we miss due to the ramblings, random replays and "atmospheric" shots of the stadium, crowd or in the case of last night, the Giants Chairmen looking happy when it looked like Hudds had it won (prematurely as it turned out

). So Sky, if it's not too much trouble, when the ball is in play can we save the atmosphere shots and replays until it isn't and when the officials are talking please shut the **** up.

It wouldn't be that bad if it was just Stevo doing that kind of thing, that's sort of his role to liven things up a bit. But the problem is you've got Stevo going OTT with stuff (a player, team, particular play or refs decision is either brilliant or terrible, there's nothing in between), but Eddie does the same too, and with a startling lack of knowledge of the game for someone who's job it is to know about the game. Then add in Phil Clarke with his bias for one team or another and then Terry O'Connor with his random cliché generator whacked up to the max and Stuart "makes up rules" Cummings and it makes for a rubbish and confusing viewing.

In hindsight, i have to say thanks to our Phil for his words during and after the Cas defeat last week.Of course the Leeds players had enough reasons to lift their game yesterday but his comments can't have gone unnoticed by the group and must have acted as an extra piece of motivation through the week.
