Article in today's LW stating Leeds are chasing Ryan Brierley from Leigh Centurions. Would make a great HB partnership with Liam Sutcliffe for years to come.

That should have being three years ago. Now we have some very good halfbacks coming through, who will be better.

You could make the salary cap £5m a year.

It won't stop players going to Union or the NRL. Still, it's a useful excuse for chairmen of the smaller clubs (who don't have sufficient income to pay full cap anyway without trading insolvently) to trot out to cover for their own deficiencies.

Kylie doesn't look ready for scrap heap yet.

he's playing more minutes per game as well this year, and has yet to have a break. Which is impressive stuff with Easter fixture block we've just passed.

lets hope that kylie has failed some exam or other and that he needs to stay on for another season

Why not on this years form. Bar Peacock, still the best prop we have and offers far more than both the younger Kirke and Bailey

Of course . I've always said if you are still playing well at present you are not too old or finished today

But playing well today isn't the same as playing well in 12 months either.

If there is the remote chance of Kylie given new deal, surely it must wait until end of season to decide.

The two real questions in deciding whether to give Kylie another twelve months is....

A, What's happening with Bailey, will he still be here in 2015?

B, How will Yates go?

The second one is tricky because of his injury but by Sept/Oct time if he hasn't given much signs of being able to crack the first team then Leuluai might get a gig based on having enough options in 2015 (Peacock should be rested even more during that campaign).

I have heard from a relatively reliable source that Peacock will be announcing his retirement soon and will quit at the end of the season. Hope it isn't try but that is what I was told.

I'm fairly sure he's stated a few times that he'll retire at the end of 2015. I can only imagine a serious injury changing that. Once Peacock puts his mind to something, it's probably going to happen.
