Going back to saturdays game to sum it up terrible performance, terrible atmosphere and McCartney was utter garbage looked afraid to pass the halfway line and was sloppy in defence, Sheffield Utd wanted it way more than us and were the better of two poor teams.

Jake Livermore signed on loan from Spurs. I am a massive Spurs fan so seen a bit of him over last couple of years, looks a decent young player. Be interesting to see how much gametime he gets. Tall box to box midfielder, scored against Barcelona at Wembley on his Spurs debut (ok preseason friendly but ignore that bit!!!)

Thought the red card was harsh and we were firmly second best before that. However, once we believed in ourselves and started playing football, we were very good. Impressed with Bannan, and Livermore did well when he came on.

I don't see how it wasn't a red really he leaps in off the ground and comes within inches of probably breaking the Leeds players leg. A tackle like that will probably get you a red card 9 times out of 10 in todays game, and from where Grayson was I'm not suprised he reacted like he did it looked awful.

Oh and Billy Davies seems a bit of a nob IMO.

He blocked the ball rather than went onto it with his studs. I agree that flying in like that these days in the sanitised version of football we have now is playing with fire. It also did end up being 2 footed. I can understand why he was sent off, I just thought the fact that he played the ball with the outside of his left leg, and not his studs might have seen him get yellow. Grayson shouldn't have entered the pitch but nice to see all the club getting stuck in. Our lads were in there much quicker than the Forest players, always a good sign IMO.

Yeah Billy Davies is a right plonker can't stand him. It was reckless and it was a sending off. McCartney is lucky he was in the air and not on the ground, could have been nasty.

I'm not even sure it was a foul. Same with the Blackburn player who got sent off vs Arsenal yesterday. Just because a tackle might cause an injury does not automatically mean there's anything technically wrong with it.

But putting pressure on referees is part of what home advantage is all about and I'm sure Forest will have had similar breaks at the City Ground at some point this season so it's all in the game.

Welcome to 2011 it was a straight Red in todays game he left the ground and therefore reckless and excessive and the rules state he had to go just because he got some of the ball and did'nt snap Mcartneys leg is irrellevant nowadays.

But he left the ground because the ball (which he won) was off the ground. What else are you supposed to do? It was harsh.

The rules are clear ,i don't make them but you can not leave the ground like he did no matter where the ball is and irrespective of his contact with the ball there was no doubts it was a Red IMO.

I hope we are bigger than to now appoint any one like Billy davis as manager

I pretty much agree. If I made the rules of football I would never have sent him off. However in the current climate he probably had to go.

11 years today since the 2 lads were brutally murdered in Istanbul.

Let's not forget that we are overachieving this season. A run at the playoffs with this squad would IMO be a great achievement.

Had a great night in the Derby County directors box last night, they put on a cracking pre match feed!

Saw 3 really good goals too, turned into a great game in the second half, although when Leeds went 1-0 up they seemed to just completely switch off for 10 minutes.

Play-offs look pretty dicey, looking at your last 5 games.

Your defence needs a good overhaul for the next season.

I actually think its the structure of the team that needs the overhaul, rather than the players per se.
The back 4 have mostly been recent premiership players, and so should have the ability to defend better than they do. I personally think that the midfield is not supporting the defence enough. No hard man to put their foot in. I said it during the summer, and I think that it has been played out. What I had not predicted was that as a result of that same decision, we would be the most potent attacking team in the league.
