I'm more shocked by Moorhouse than any of the others. Hes had injury issues but seems to go ok when playing. I doubt any of them will make it at Leeds anyway.

Martin looked great in 16s but hasn't kicked on at all.

Moorehouse is the one thats shocked me especially with the reserves kicking in. I like Markland he can play but every time i watch him it's like he's holding back ? When he's in the mood the lad can play but unfortunately i'm guessing the club like me haven't seen enough of it. Martin I agree Marty was a standout in the 16s looks too heavy and lacks mobility lately for me. Might kick on again under a different system but looks to have gone backwards past few years.

5 lads selected for England u16s v Wales and 1 in the Welsh team. Maybe just maybe the selectors arent biased against Leeds they just want to give everyone in the development squad a game.

16s currently losing at Warrington 18-12 at HT. Levi Edward's and Joe Gibbons with the tries for Leeds.

16s currently up 28-18 with 5 to go.

FT 34-18 to Leeds. Thought young Oli Field had an excellent game at 6. Edwards and Wallace raised the team off the bench. Gibbons in 2nd row made errors but also did some quality stuff and lads like Morgan Gannon, Nicholson-Wattom, Little and Nichol all contributed.

Really good game to be honest.

How did parsons and Aldridge’s and Gatus do?

Gatus took his try well ran the ball back strongly but wasnt good under the high ball. He let a few bounce and didnt look comfortable at all under them.

Jonah Parsons is a ridiculous player, how he gets thru so often is unbelievable. Nobody can tackle him. He played at 7 but hes a 9 for me.

Parsons isn't a 7 that's for sure but hes an unbelievable runner I dont know how he evades so many tackles.

Announced on the Clubs website that 13 players have been offered academy contracts from the scholarship next year. Good old numbers that. We might not be travelling great at first team level but the work developing the young lads in the background seems to be first class.

Those numbers will be more the structural changes to the comp I think, i.e. under 18's then reserves. I would guess if it was the current system you would be looking at half of that taken on.

We will go back to disagreeing Gotcha agree on a couple but not half? Not on the games i have watched . Agree that over half wont make it past the 18s though as we struggle to develop players once they leave the scholarship.

I wasn’t suggesting they were not good enough. Just based on numbers. Normally they would be promoted in a squad that has 3 age groups in it, with large numbers. Now it is just 2age groups, and I think only 10 from the year up.

Dont think the reserves will come into it much to be honest. Half our reserve team is going to be Fev lads that aremt playing for Fev.

Leeds will still be using dual reg despite the reserve structure.

Levi, Morgan Gannon and Alfie Edghill are all top young. Theyve another year at 16s yet.

Very happy with the lads who'v been signed on, there were 11 i was really hoping would make it and they all have, with none signing / Poached elsewhere. Said earlier in the thread a couple might be kept on due to the structure change, that ordinarily might not be, those 2 for me are Snee and Mayhew, the rest, i think would of been kept on regardless. Dont think those 2 are bad players, but we'v got a lot of very good forwards in this group who are ahead of them imo.

Seen a pic on twitter of next years Scholrship intake, from the pic it looks like...5 Saddleworth, 5 Fev Lions, 3 Siddal, 2 Leeds Irish, 2 Lock Lane, 1 Hunslet Warriors and 1 Millford. Is that everyone? Any insight on the Siddal , Leeds Irish and Millford lads?
