We've gone from having a lightweight pack with no go forward against the bigger teams to probably the biggest pack in the league almost overnight.

Just the sort of strength in depth in our pack now that the rigours of the new league structure demand.

This was my thinking, cuthbertson ball skills atLF are fun to watch and he should be able to play most or all of the game from there.

We then have four rotation props with others that can play there if needs be (Yates, jjb e)

If we get lucky next year and have less long term injuries / can get 1-17 out most games I think we will be a fun team to watch and a hard one to beat.

As mentioned only the halves need looking at now but the way McGuire is playing this year there's no reason we can't get another couple of years out of him. If the rumours about Brierley are true then it seems Uncle Gary is well and truly back on form.

Was actually hoping we were going to sign one more forward. We went with a small squad this year and have barely been able to name a 19 at times so addressing one of our issues from this year (squad size/depth) is spot on. Yates and Walters seem to get picked in the 17 not because of the coach wanting to play them but because he doesn't really have anyone else to pick.

It seems almost inevitable nowadays that teams will have decent sized injury lists for a chunk of the year so let's have plenty to pick from. Also means you can rotate one guy out easiler when you want to rest him.

If the Widdop (or even the Brierly) rumour became true then we'd really be looking in great shape.

thats 4 props signed in not much more than a season, garbutt mullaly cuthbertson and now galloway. like for like thats pretty good for peacock Kylie kirke and bailey over that period. Peacock was always going to be all but impossible to replace but were having a pretty good stab at it. The back row is looking good and Keinhorsts emergence in the back row is a nice bonus - I think hell be asked to bulk up a little in the off season. add one halfback which I'm guessing where the marquee budget is going (wink) and our squad will look as good as it has for a long time.

You don't have a small squad, you might not have 25 international class players, but no team does. All teams have had to blood youngsters or average players - Saints, Wigan, Wire, Hudds are no different. That's what the salary cap does.

You're right we can't look for a "replacement" for Peacock, he's a one-off who've been lucky to have at our club for so long.
But I think the balance of the 2016 4 props of Galloway, Cuthbertson, Singleton & Garbutt is at least equal if not better than the 2014 4 props of Peacock, Leuluai, Kirke & Bailey.

Having said that, Peacock and Leuluai have both been outstanding for Leeds over the years. Peacock with his huge, high quality efforts and Leuluai for his huge runs and hits.

Galloway and garbutt at prop and cuthbetson at LF means we can go with two wide running second rows, ward and keinhorst, with Achurch able to play wide as well. Leaves Delaney singo and mullally bench cover
