You thought ended both halfs?

Our defence was shambolic throughout the whole game. Absolute pathetic effort in defence. What was the fecking line up for the right hand side? It was shocking. We will get murdered next week if we don't sort that out. No one individual it was a collective effort on that side, that IMO was the structure from the coach.

On the Sinny issue, it was a bad move. The guy was simply immense today, putting players through gaps left right and centre. As soon as he went off the side went back into its usual state, oh poop no Sinny. So reliant on that guy it is unbelievable.

Very harsh on the D imo we started very strongly and contained their runners well and that layed the platform for the 16-0 then the errors and penalties kicked in they got a roll on and put some tries on us.
The right hand side was left outnumbered far too many times and will definately need sorting which i think it will be plenty of positives though and like i said the end of both halfs was poor not the whole game imo.

The platform for the 16-0 was the amount of ball we had, and what we did with it. Had nothing to do with the defence. As soon as Hull got continuous ball we went to pieces defensively.

Same thing happend when we had a roll after them been 2 points behind, they hardly saw the ball again until the last 10 minutes. Then we go to pieces defensively again.

Can not take positives out of that defensive effort, it was shambolic. We were simply irresistable with ball in hand, but the defence can not be disguised.

We looked good with the ball for long periods, the ending to both halfs were really poor and will need to improve our defence, but I suppose fatigue played a part. Senior and Hall were great today, senior making some nice breaks and scoring two tries. Hall scored with two good finishes and made some very good kick returns. Also thought webby had a good game and is looking better and better every week. Kirke had a very much improved game too! All in allwe were good for long periods but let our guard down for 10 minutes at the end of each half and that's what we will need to address and work on the most going forward.

We have to disagree then because to descibe the defence as shambolic for the WHOLE game is way ott imo.
It will have to improve 100% completely agree but i thought it was only for about 20 minutes of the match where it was poor.

The missed tackles will be high again, and it was not just in the last 10 of each half.

True but does that reflect the WHOLE game defensively?
Without the actual timing of the misses and what they lead to in terms of points i don't see how that points to a poor game overall defensively.

Do you watch the game when you are there, Leeds defensively were pathetic, the only saving grace was that Hull were a shambles.

Bailey was maybe a tad late in a tackle which gave rise to a few handbags being swung, Bentham put the incident on report.

This prompted choruses of “Bailey is a thug” and “you’re going to get bummed in the showers”.

Hull scored on the stroke of full time and while the Leeds players were assembled in goal Bailey was making very subtle gestures to the travelling supporters. Then after the kick and the full time hooter had sounded I turned to the Hull fans and repeatedly applauded them.

Being stood on the Western Terrace I can inform you that this didn’t go down with one or two of them, made me laugh though.

I think I said I prefer RU which I do having played it at school, having said that I attend lots of League games as well which is allowed you know and subsequently I have attended plenty of Leeds games, Rich is a Leeds fanatic so it goes with the territory.

I agree Loz. Thought Bailey was immense again today, especially in defense, but because he is not one of our 'stars' he gets overlooked. Defense down Smith, Delaney and McGuire's side was poor today. According to Hall, (which I can verify), Delaney has been ill and was ill going into the match.

However the plus side is that attack was superb today. IMO it was hard to chose a MOM and that is how you want it. All the players were 100% better than they have been, and I now feel more confident than I have for a while.

He was well enough to bust three or four tackles and outpace 50% of the cover.

Our defence up the middle was fine; however, the right hand side was, as someone else has suggested, a shambles. However, along with Delaney, Smith and McGuire were equally to blame.

I think as well that Delaney and Smith haven't 'clicked' yet. Its easy to forget that Smith is coming back into the team with a new centre, not someone such as keef who knows his play.

However it is also a big ask for Smith to come back in and play 3 matches in 9 days and expect him to be superb in all. I thought he was puffing a bit after 20 today and he is still getting match fitness.

Can't disagree and wouldn't be pressing the panic button just yet and, as I said, Mcguire should carry an equal share of the responsibility. However, I'd expect that side of our defence to come under a great deal of scrutiny next week. All three are hesitant and ball watching at the moment.

That defence performance had nothing to do with Delaney and Smith not "clicking". It was a collective issue, not down to two players, and not even down to 3 players.

When Hull got their first two tries, Delaney was defending inside the prop. Outstide of him were Burgess, McGuire, Sinfield, and Smith. For me it was the structure that was the problem, they had obviously been told to line up like that.

I could not see what the structure was for the second half tries.

I caught Bluey on the radio when I got back from the match his comment "Tackle was something we went fishing with this week" lots of tackle bags being used this week I think
