| When my son goes to Uni in a year or two's time (fingers crossed) that will be it for me with a season ticket. I'll watch our televised games on Sky and pick and choose what others I want to spend my money on that aren't on SKY (and there won't be that many).

| Leeds offer reasonable facilities and a good match experience but the tickets are exspensive. I've recently started taking my son to matches and its £34 for the both of us which is a lot.
I appreciate you pay a premium to see the top teams and the champs but do you think Leeds should do a Wigoon and offer reduced prices for certain games to attract fans from the likes of Shuds etc?

They have never come in large numbers anyway so it would be pointless
They are just trying to use "high ticket prices" as an excuse now. Not that I blame them, I agree it turns a family day out into an expensive do. But they have previous for shocking away support, so they have no room to talk on this one. If the Hull KR, Hull or Wigan fans started staying away because of price, then we should take note.

Not a good reflection on the current reality i am afraid.
Our away support has significantly improved in the last couple of years due to A having a better team and B being more competitive.
We now regularly take away good nos to most away games.
1000 + to Quins is an example.
We took more away to HKR this season than Leeds did so you need to be careful criticising away support.
Leeds has never been a good place for us to go. BUT there are reasons for it.
In the past i have enjoyed going to Leeds but in the last few years the atmosphere and interaction with some fans has not been as good as it was. ther are less good RL types and more people who do give you jip. Possibly realted to Leeds success and Uniteds demise. It is becoming a bit like HKR in that sense.
The ground and view for away fans is poor and the costs are astronomical.
Leeds is one of the grounds i do not bother with now and will be only the third away game i have missed all season . I am not going to spend £60 plus petrol for me and the kids to watch the game.
I can take them to Flamingo land all day cheaper. And if you are dearer than that you cannot be competitive on price. This may not be a problem for you if your crowds are doing well maybe you do not need away fans.
But if you do want more fans to attend more seats for away fans and better prices would be the way to go.

Totally agree - i'm on the dole due to redundancy and as i only get £60 a week i cant justify spending most of it on Admission for me and my Son plus travel and refreshments.
Call me a part timer or whatever but in the past i have been to Leeds most years but at them prices there is no way i can afford to go.
As for the Leeds fans saying its only Huddersfield fans so it doesnt matter well that is surely the wrong attitude to take when we are trying to get more people to watch our sport , Surely whoever a person supports you would want them in your ground earning your club more money not saying balls to you and your clubs fans cos you bring crap support !.
People moan about our away following at Headingley but lets be fair the response we have had on here would not exactly entice our fans to come, like someone says rather than mocking those that aren't going to come maybe you need to realise why and i'm sure your board etc would take the same attitude.

| There's reasons for tickets been so expensive. We are seen as the one to beat, the biggest team from the biggest city in the RL heartlands. This means a bigger supporter pool. The reason Hudds, Wigan etc are good value is because they have 1000's sometimes over 10000 empty seats.

Hello and welcome to the 21st Century my deprived friend. This may come as a surprise but the world outside of Kirklees as moved on since 1984 and, along with shoulder-pads, Wham and roller discos, £4.50 entrance prices are no longer available.
The only reason that you don’t get ‘mugged off’ when you’re in your home town is because you are surrounded by £Pound Shops, Bargain Stores and fellow unemployed, and being prudent with your Gyro is the only way you are able to afford that long awaited 5 litre bottle of White Lightning every Saturday night before Bingo.
Get real will ya - £20, I agree, is at the top end price range for a SL ground but it isn’t extortionate (£2 to £3 more than most grounds) and you are paying to see the current champions FFS.

Carry on laughing my underpaid friend – it’s me that’ll be watching top flight rugby league live while you’re… not.
And in the real world £20 isn’t a silly price for 80 minutes for entertainment but if you think it is then that’s just your small town mentality shining through.

You dont have to suffer those prices because no body in their right mind would pay that much to watch Huddersfield.
Leeds however are on a different level, if you want to come to the home of the back to back champions (ie the best team in the league by virtue that they are the champions) then you can expect to pay prices at the top end of the bracket.
However should we not be champions at the end of this season and therefore not the best team in the league, I wonder if we can expect a price cut to our tickets

| The ticket prices just reflect supply and demand.
The club will sell tickets at the highest price that it can that doesn't adversley effect overall numbers, or at least doesn't effect them enough to result in an overall drop in revenue. Same as any other business.
At Huddersfield you have high supply (big stadium) and very little demand, so they have low prices (such as the season ticket offer).
