Great team performance that. Superb backs against the wall. Mcshane got away with murder time and time again. Lui showed that hes a game winner. Forgive Martin for his errors he was clearly jet lagged

Great win and relieves a bit of pressure especially if we can get the job done next week against HKR. Outstanding defence from 0-80 pretty much tonight and it won is the game especially that first half when Cas were camped on our line for long periods, Seamanufagai was outstanding doing a 60 minute stint especially when he only got back in country on wednesday, Cuthbertson has really come to life again in last few weeks great Carries and offloads again same for Briscoe as well come into a bit of form in recent weeks working hard in yardage sets and making breaks. Been critical of Singleton this year but thought tonight he complimented our other front rowers well tonight, Merrin and Lui were good as well and Lui makes our attack look more dangerous in OP 20 Merrin leads us so well really glad he's our captain, hopefully we get the win next week and climb away from the bottom.

Great to see Merrin and Hurrell get the chance to enjoy that with the fans after what they came into.

That Myler tackle was absolutely incredible

That dropped ball from Rankin from the Eden pass was because of Handley's effort. He was a good 20 or 30 metres back but worked his off to get to Rankin

That first try for Clare was a knock on anyway. When Blair flicked it out, it clipped the defender. Like someone previously said, Thaler did everything in his power to get them over. Massive win all the same, and great to see the boys enjoying themselves.

Either way, great stint by Ava bearing in mind he travelled midweek.

Not posted in ages but thought I'd share my thoughts now there's actually signs of life in the team!

The turn around in our defense is quite remarkable really. Fair play to Agar for that, and to the players as they're finally starting to play as a unit.

Stand outs for me were Ava - what an effort just after stepping off the plane on Weds. Myler gets some bashing on here but having Lui in the team seems to have taken some of the pressure off his shoulders. Always seems to come up with some big defensive plays dislodging the ball. Also thought Newman put in a really good defensive effort, looks to be getting better at knowing when to jam in and shut down a play. Fair play to Sutcliffe as well as I thought he put in a shift. Think second row is his best position and thought he coped fairly well with McMeekan tonight. Also pleasing to see Cuthbertson and Singo showing some form!

Glad we've got Lui in the team now too, he's a far more dependable player than Lolohea, and looking forward to seeing more of Martin who despite the errors tonight I think he'll come good.

Also think the criticism of Handley is a bit wide of the mark - dropped a high kick but also came up with some important plays too. Yes our wingers make some bad errors and I wouldn't be against bringing in better quality at some point should it be available but I think we have other areas to fix up first.

Anyway, a good win and let's hope we get a run going!

Will have to watch it again but initial thought was ferries did a lot in D not as bad as some making out, will have to re watch the recording when I get back. Initial thoughts was good team performance nice to see the effort for each other. The middle played well myler had good game props were spot on and liked merrin. Martin looked a little off but understandable. Will re watch tomorrow
