If Brough gets knarked his game goes to pot - seen him do this way to many times for a top class player

In the round 9 Headingley game it was Jones-Bishop at full-back behind a three-quarter line of Smith, Watkins, Hardaker, Hall.

In the round 27 game it was Hardaker at full-back behind a three-quarter line of Jones-Bishop, Watkins, Keinhorst, Hall.

The losses to Huiddersfield recently have been fairly meaningless league fixtures. In knock out rugby I'd expect Leeds to have the edge

I'd like Leeds to win because:

1. I'm a Leeds fan
2. Like TVOC says, if we want a cup win, reaching the Final is a must
3. Huddersfield have a few decent knowledgeable fans on here but not many. The vast majority are wassocks with inferiority complexes (borne out of genuine inferiority no doubt). We'll be flooded with the usual peons who will celebrate a win over us as if it comes with a trophy.

I won't predict what will happen because I've never felt confident doing so under McDermott's tenure, so unpredictable have we become. Of course, this year we've been far more consistent but I have this inherent fear that we will be a mirror image of the previous two years and our consistency might be marred by fudging up when it counts.

Reason 3 is one that immediately sprang to mind when the draw was made, they'll celebrate like they've won the actual cup itself if they knock us out. They'll still go on about it for ages even if they get dumped out in the quarters.

If Leeds turn up and play anything like we should win comfortably

We're a much different team to the one that met the Giants back in March and the last game we lost.

I think we'll put up a better fight this time, especially if we can nail Brough's kicking game.

We're nearly at full strength and I think it'll be a much closer encounter than last time.

I can honestly see Bailey getting himself sent off tomorrow. I just think he is a liability waiting to happen yet again, and Huddersfield are pretty smart at pushing the right buttons.

It wouldn't surprise me. He does have a habit of playing up when he's in front of the cameras.
TBH, though, I think he'll stay out of trouble, and channel his aggression in a positive manner.

FWIW, it's a bizarre statement to make if you look at the length of Bailey's career and the amount of times he's been sent off.

On an unrelated note I would send JJB after Brough all day long, get right in his face on every single kick even if that means conceding the odd penalty or two.

As Bailey has been sent off in 50% of his most recent two appearances I can fully understand the concern/confusion that is causing some posters on here.

When you consider that he has just come back from a four game ban for two seperate offences, which I thought was harsh. Then his first game back he was quite lucky to get away with challenges that were the equal of those banning offences. It is not that bizarre.

What his career record shows is irrelevant, as I was referring to this period of time. And at this period of time he is a walking time bomb, and IMO an easy target for some referees.

Could be further chaos if/when Bailey is sent off. He might have to evict a season-ticket waving hudds fan just to get a seat in the stand.

They should be very aware he sits where he wants.

You seem to have missed G1's point completely.... (I'm guessing not for the first time...) Going by the trend you seem to have adopted that the last two games are extremely significant, on that basis there was no reason whatsoever to think that Bailey would be sent off in the Catalans game because he hadn't been sent off in the two previous games. Yet he was. So, if "stats" prior to that game suggested that he wouldn't be sent off, yet were proved to be wrong, why should we pay any attention at all to "stats" prior to this game?
