 Leeds Rhinos Win Game of Two Halves With Leigh LeopardsLeigh Leopards were still seeking their first win of the season as they entered the fourth round of Super League XXIX with a game against a Leeds Rhinos side with their eyes on the top half of the table after a great win against the Catalans Dragons last time out. Tale of 2 halves I thankfully missed the 1st half and glad I did by what I was reading on twitter etc, that second half we showed some great grit and pulled a win out the bag we probably didn't deserve, that sort of stuff happened on many occasions in the Golden Generation. Nice to see Kendall still refs how he wants baffling calls as always. Ash Handley must have a clause in his upgraded contract that he can only score worldie tries every week because he scored 2 peaches again tonight. I'll take 3 wins out of 4 games these early points will be vital later in season.

In all seriousness we rode our luck tonight. I thought Leigh were better than I expected. They could easily have had another couple of tries. Lam injury looked bad - also doubt Ackers will play next week with the ankle injury he picked up.
Starting to want Fus back now; Roberts has done okay in parts but we need our first grade winger back on that side.
Leigh have awesome shape in attack: so many players in motion with different options for the half; whereas we run about individually trying to break through.

| Croft and Momirovski poor in the first half but both atoned in the second.
Leeds simply weren't direct enough in the first 40, as Smith acknowledged. They'll learn from that. It's nice to learn and take the two points at the same time for a change.
Still don't get the fuss over Kyle Amor, he seems not to like Leeds much when he's commentating on our games. Clearly bitter from the days of Ian Kirke keeping him out of a Leeds shirt.

We weren’t that bad in the first half. Pretty close on most of the stats. Just some misses from Mom and Croft.
Much more direct in the second half. Croft, Martin and Handley did some good stuff. Really think Miller was great. Nice footwork, constantly backing up down the middle, good passing. Think we might have the new Webb

I won’t anoint him the new Webb but he does a lot of good stuff and is still very young in his pro career even if he’s not young in terms of age so will likely get better.
I thought he was very hard done to on that late obstruction too. |
