It’s proving to be a fascinating end to the season. For me it’s between Warrington, Wigan and HKR, Wigans big match experience May clinch it in the end. Although the play off places may turn up a few shocks.

As athletic and exciting as he is, I can understand why people think we are better without Nene. Even taking the off field stuff out of it, he’s a complete basket case. Bad reads and penalties galore have cost Salford tonight so far.

I know it's at least 12 months away, but we could definitely do a lot worse than Adrian Lam as our next coach. In terms of shape and structure, Leigh are the best team in the league IMO.

The fascinating question for me: is if Connor does come and Mom does leave, where do we use the quota spot? Connor isn't the type of big, ball carrying athlete I'd presumed Arthur would want. Suppose the virtue of playing him in the centre would be that we could move for an extra quota prop or second row. Equally, we could use him as a genuine spine utility and still target a quota 3/4.

Enjoyed that game and in previous seasons Wire would have folded so all credit to them for coming back and snatching it.

Was a great game to watch. Only problem was it makes you realise we are absolutely worlds away from being able to compete at that level.

Eccles being nominated for COTY after getting relegated and winning 3 games all season is a disgrace

It's not really is it, it's voted for by fellow coaches and they probably appreciate how good a job he's done this year with a squad that's half part time

They won 3 games and got relegated, which is probably what most expected them to do. It's essentially an adult participation trophy.

And Wigan finished top which is what most expect them to do, so should Peet not be nominated?
I'm happy to defer to the other super league coaches on this, but obviously you know better

Wigan also won a WCC, a CC and league leaders shield.

And with the squad they've got, being handed the WCC by the wigan ref, and the cc being moved earlier in the year, I'm pretty sure people had them favourites for the treble.

So why is it embarrassing for Eccles to be nominated by his fellow coaches?
