Yes despite their cup wins which were great achievements, one competition doesn't always translate to the other as ourselves and Warrington have shown. They did us in the 2010 & 2012 cup finals quite easily but we did them in the 2011 playoffs and 2012 GF.

One key difference is that with the cup you can have 3/4 weeks to plan for that game and opponent and this time last week Hull didn't even know if they'd be in the playoffs. Between Hull's first cup game and the final they lost 7 of their 13 league games which may suggest they were planning and looking ahead to the cup games whereas they've not had that luxury the last few weeks.

Well that is one thing we should all remember on Friday regardless of the result. Two legends in McGuire and Burrow will have played their last game for Leeds at Headingley and maybe even their last game altogether in Burrow if we lose. Likewise in victory it'll be Ellis' final game too. All three deserve a great send off post match whatever happens.

Agree with Biff and tiger tot and a few others. Hull are favourites for mine. They have an experienced side who have played well in recent big games. At their best they have a better pack, kicking game and full back. If you have just the first 2 you will likely win a big game at end of season when it could be wet.
Hope Leeds can prove me wrong but I expect Hull will be good and Think Leeds will need best display of year to get through or Hull lose discipline. An early red card for Watts would even things up

Holbrook has put Matty Smith back in at starting HB and he looked out of the picture recently, that's a big call and yet another game where the HB combination was different from the previous week, think thats 6 matches in a row.

perfect example of the huge value of a big game kicker right there. Percival missing 4, Gale nailing one to send it into extra time then having the composure to get the one point when it mattered.

We almost took it for granted for a Decade with Sinfield, but players like that are few and far between and we are certainly lacking it at the moment, i'm not sure i would fancy Watkins under such pressure.

Well done cas, would have been a shame if they hadn't made the GF after a great season. Thought they were damn lucky with that last second pen. Was pretty 50/50 to me (and don't reckon cas attacker was gonna get anywhere near the kick).
