A group of four Leeds vermin were ejected from the seats behind us yesterday, shortly after showering the people I was with in beer.

IMO it's not acceptable to dismiss the Wigan fan's complaints as sour grapes. Even if I didn't see this incident I saw plenty of evidence yesterday of this kind of behaviour by Leeds fans. And it's not a worthy argument to say, "every other club is just as bad". Who cares? A not insubstantial number of aggressive and unpleasant scum follow Leeds and we shouldn't be afraid to accept that fact and see if it can be dealt with (the fact that it probably can't be is also not sufficient reason to ignore it).

It's easier to just pen them in at the back of the South Stand so they don't come into contact with opposition fans inside the ground. Once they are outside on the streets, it's not the club's problem any more. They're more than happy to take the bar profits they generate though.

It's been an issue over the last ten years that the club have paid less than lip service to in the pursuit of profit.

At the train station on the way home there was a load of Bog Brusher on one side of the platform and a load of loiners on the other. Both were goading each other - both were as bad as each other.

As with all other sports there is always a minority who spoil it for others and I am sorry that this happened to you and yours. On the other hand my party walked off debating the game with some great wigan Guys, so its not all bad.

I'm fed up of these type of fans, but what irritates me just as much is the obligatory thread on here that somehow makes us partly responsible, and having to defend ourselves for the behaviour of a moron. The responsibility lies with them, they'd be morons whether they had a Leeds shirt on or not. It's embarrassing to be seen wearing the same shirt as them but it's a problem with the individual, not the clubs fans as a whole. These threads achieve nothing I'm afraid.

I saw such an incident and thought it was a disgrace ....

I am going to write and complain the following people in this order :

- The lead singer of Echo & The Bunnymen

- Former 'How' presenter Fred Dineage

- The Chairman of Cowdenbeath FC (or failing that the Chairman of Oxford Utd FC

)

- Derek Batey

- God

Etc. Etc. Etc.

If I do not receive a satisfactory reply from any of them or if the government does not impose Marshal Law from Noon this Friday in an attempt to catch such perpetrators, my spouse / offspring / hamster / cattle / other domestic animals / fence post / cheese grater collection (*Delete as applicable) will never attend a game of Rugby League in our lives (* Any future lives we have through reincarnation or regression hypnosis)

And given the number of police around, why did you not make an effort to report this 'behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace' to the nearest constable ?

Does baffle me when people come on here (Leeds fan included too) after their team has lost and start a thread questioning the behaviour of a set of fans when we all know it's a minority of idiots that probably no nothing about RL apart from 'my team is great, your team is rubbish' that cause the trouble, especially at the Finals that attract a lot of 1 game a season 'supporters'. Not condoning it, it's dead wrong but not sure what its aim is on these forums and also unfortunately some people can't handle alcohol and sport (some don't even need the alcohol part) and they'd still be an idiot regardless of what team they 'supported' or wherever they came from along the M62. Decent RL fans are still able to mingle with one another better than most other sport, especially football.

Of course we are not all like that,and you know we are not

I remember in the challenge cup at Headingley when we scored the one and only try, me and a lad who posts on here was walking down the ginnel at the back of the ground, when a lad with other wigan fans came out of nowhere and smacked him and ran away down the alleyway.

What about people on the bus yesterday shouting obscenities and spitting out of the coach windows and then showing there bare ar5se cheek to half of west yorkshire?


From experience, if you don't even reply to anyone, and completely ignore it. "trying to debate" with some mindless idiots is pointless. People blame society and the beer etc, but I'm sure it's not changed that much over the years.

What a great day yesterday

It's part and parcel of watching RL. As we were walking out we passed a few coaches bound for Pieland and several Bog Brushers were showing their disdain of us Leeds fans.

I blew them kisses which, for some unknown reason, seemed to aggravate them further.

On the road out past the gas club, i decided, in my slightly inhebriated yet very happy demeanour to skip up the road whilst clapping each coach one by one and waving. I can only think this wasnt appreciated by the passengers as much as it was by the fans walking with me.

I think the least Mr Hetherington could do is offer you some Challenge Cup Final tickets as a gesture of goodwill.

Although I can appareciate your disgust at what happened to youy i do think the real context should be that knobs don't need a sporting event to confirm the size of their collective gene pool.They display this in any town in UK on many weekend evenings.In this case they merely were more decoratively dressed.
Have a walk around your hometown any Saturday night and it will be there to see for a start.
Like others have mentioned we can all supply a list of poor behaviour from 'other fans'...mine starts with oops some wigan fans at wembley in '94 who at a brave range of all of 10 yards verbally abused a family in an age range of about 8-65+ for "being a bunch of F66666ing %% wasting ya 6666in pension turning up for a ars3333ing" etc etc....all it proved was that if it sounds like a KN**,acts like a KN** then it was indeed..........OR do I mention the LEEDS fan at a Wigan pub who didn't like the way I wore the LEEDS COLOURS....NOW HE was indeed a NORBERT CRANIUM.....
I then had a chat with normal wigan fans......in both cases.....

Like somebody mentioned earlier it seems to be that cup semis and specially wembley will bring the 1-2 game a season/in there lives brigade (im all for new to RL supporters by the way.) Unfortunatley a small minority of these seem to think RL is like football, where they feel the need to abuse opposition fans. Like i said i love it when people come to watch RL for the first time and enjoy it, but if they only want to come to cup semi's/final to get ratted and abuse oposing fans then i would kindly request they not bother.

Oh and as for the OP question. No they aint, met some cracking leeds fans at wembley in 2010 and 2 of them even helped me change my tyre on the car after i realised it was nearly flat when i parked up.

Yes we will see you all at Wembaleee . Two from the Capital City sat in with you lot and supporting you lot . Leeds got all they deserved on Saturday



Ps I wasn't just Leeds fans that were looking for bother we had our fair share as well ...Sorry . No place for that in our game .

Thanks for the sensible reply and seeing past the 'sour grapes' guff. I thought Leeds executed a game plan really well in the game and deserved their win. It hasn't put us off going to games but will be more cautious next time.

Some of the abuse Tomkins got turned quite nasty at some points. I'm all for banter between players and fans but when adults are standing up and screaming some of the things that were being said in front of their children, it's all a little sad really.
