Excellent news, I've contacted YR several times asking them to try and get the RL comms, most matches will be Leeds too as we have the most fans and YR is a commercial station only interested in listener figures.

So does that mean we're all going to have to go DAB

Might I suggest that going Digital will cut down

Nope. What it will mean is that there will be more than one game getting decent airtime a week.

However, when they cover LUFC games it's not available through Sky as they don't have a national licence, so it's only on DAB. Don't know if RL will be the same, but if I had to guess I'd say it'll be on.

Yes, that's why I was checking, I knew about the problems with the LUFC coverage so wondered if it would be the same.

Correct young Matthew, we will try to go to a game not on Sky and perhaps not getting full match commentary elsewhere. However if there is a big all Yorkshire game that we could feature we may do that.

Our deal does not effect anyone else's.

The programme will be available on our different platforms.

Can you hear the RL games on Sky unlike the LUFC games?

I can't get Yorkshire Radio on my DAB radio



I even bought it in Yorkshire from a good old Yorkshire business - Asda - but I can't get Yorkshire Radio on it



I CAN get Yorks Radio on my Pure DAB radio, but on the extremely cheap Argos Dab radio int he kitchen it doesn't list Yorks Radio and on the extremely cheap Asda DAB radio at work it doesn't list them either.

And there, good people, lies the moral of the story, you can buy DAB radios for around £20 now, but they are s[ihit[/ie and you can't "tune" them like you can an FM radio, they tell you what stations they can see, if they can't see it then you don't get it.


Buy Pure, they are the nadgers.
