| Quote ="thebloodbath"American Gangster (Denzel is the daddy!!! Awesome in this, so convincing, but the ending??? What a disappointment.)'" Erm, wasn't it based upon a true story? I know Hollywood likes to take artistic licence but changing the outcome seems a bit OTT. I thought it was OK but nothing special. It was like a blaxploitation version of Goodfellas. Could've been much more.
Anyway, another two disappointments have occur ed to me.
Donnie Darko. Took me about six sittings to get through the DVd as I kept falling asleep. Seriously over rated piece of dull s[ihi[/it.
Lost in Translation. Yes I know it was well acted but FFS I like something to actually happen in a film. Dulls-ville again.

| Breakdance 2, Electric Boogaloo.
Breakdance the movie was pure class (if not as gritty as beat Street) I can't believe they ruined it with the sequel.

| Was slightly dissapointed with saw 5. I'm a big fan of the films but watched it yesterday and seemed probably the weakest of them all and the killings didn't seem as clever or as gruesome as the other films!

I made the mistake of actually going to see it. I hated every minute of it. I thought if all the others are good this has to be an ace finisher (Like the peoples elbow) it was just so bad. How many deaths? Three, four? Pufffft. There'll be another yet. We need to find out what was in the box. I also didn't like it cause the goody had a hole in his throat and talked funny and I had a sore throat and it was like he was taking me off and it made me mad cause I didn't think he was doing an impression of me right.

The law of diminishing returns or as is the norm "flogging a dead horse" generally the rule is when a franchise starts getting into 3,4 or 5 you know is just going to be gash.
(apart from star wars though, they were boss.)

They tied up a few loose ends but left a few more behind too. Thought there was gonna be a decent twist to the end of the film but there didn't seem to have one. Thought it would have been better to kill off Hoffman (the bad guy) or something bad to happen to him and leave a decent ending but it didn't happen. Knew something was gonna happen to the good cop as the main good guys have died in every film. I assume Agent Erickson will be the main character in the next film.
Thought they were gonna show more of a background on Jigsaw like they did with saw 4. Didn't really seem to happen and he was hardly in the film.
I'm guessing whats in the box is the puppet but thats just a guess.
Think they can squeeze one more film out of the franchise then that will be it. From what I have read that will be the case. Not alot more they can do with it now especially when the main character has been dead since saw 3 and it seems they have run out of ideas for decent killings which really is the main thing about the whole series

| The Two Towers and the Return of the King. You have to pause for breath in a film, especially when it's 4 hours long. The music was overwhelming also, never let the characters or the film be quiet for any time at all.
Batman. As good as it looks nothing happens in the film. It should really have been called Jokerman. I heard they re-wrote it as they went along and put more and more Jack Nicholson scenes in.
Matrix 2 and 3. I once heard an artist saying that it takes real skill to know when a painting is finished, then put down your brush and walk away. The Matrix was a fanatastic film, it should have ended there (whatever happened to letting people use their imaginations?).

Spend a week in Tokyo and you'll laugh your co** off when you watch that film. As a piece of observation it's faultless.
Of course, that's probably a bit of an expensive way to get the most out of a film.

Thing about the matrix is they had to milk the cash cow thats why cartoons, numerous video games and t sequels appeared. tbh I thought it was a good idea at the time to make the sequels but obviously it didn't work

| I've just remembered Judge Dredd. Hopefully Chris Nolan will pick up a script in 5 years time and do it properly like he did with Batman (not Brian Singer though - I'd like some actual "action" in an action film Brian).
