Meh, I was just letting Swarcliffe Rhino know he had a letter and it made a great base for the cat litter tray.

We always seem to get them the last few years even after we had renewed not to mention texts to my Dads phone to tell him that tickets for games were only £20 even though he already had the ST, then a few minutes later another text to say sorry the message was a mistake, waste of money if you ask me

Good photo in red lion in shadwell, doesn't say the year but has innes iro, tait etc in it, from memory they also have a signed Yongers shirt as well

not really a fan of the merry monk allways been trouble when I have been there, still is better than the Kirkstal lights as it was

I was very lucky to go in The Kirkstall lights when it still had a bit of dignity left in the 90s. But nearer to when it was closing (sometime last decade) it was a right dive. I think as a famliey we had one pint in they and that was enough to listen to my dad rambling on how good the place used to be



Only been to Merry Monk when my dad mate took it on and it’s been fine every time I’ve been in. They certainly won’t be no trouble they – Bloke whose apparently been barred from every other pub in Leeds hasn’t been barred from they yet, so it’s a place of good behaviour.

Finally I’ve never gone to pubs outside of Farsley, Pudsey, Stanningley, Bramley, Armley, town, Headingley, Burley, Hyde Park and East End Park. Will have to give Shadwell a try sometimes!

You should try the Staging post and Whinmoor pub(if it re-opens) Damo lad, you would get on well with people in them
