We've got plenty wrong recruitment wise in recent years but I've just never been convinced that is the case with Garbutt. If he'd stayed fit for the entire year then absolutely would have been an improvement on what we had but I suspect the club knew that wasn't going to be the case...

Huge injury list for Sunday with a total of 11 players missing. Ferres, Peteru and Albert join. Walker named in 19 (which doesn’t come out until tomorrow).

Well another injury in the back row and Furner saying Walker back in & he is having to "look at options in the back row" which could well mean Sutcliffe back into the back row and Tui at 6. Joy of joys...

We have played well with that combo - infact our best two performances (Saints and Salford) has seen us with Walker at Full back, Tui at 6 and Sutcliffe at back row.

I would go with that combo for Sunday.

Welcome to our(HKR) world. For our pack we are down to kids, and it,s showing. It,s getting ridiculous and very frustrating. Unless you have a large squad or get lucky with injuries it,s difficult to compete, and we haven,t got a large squad and have been unlucky with injuries, hence the beatings. Down to one prop against wire and no chance, and lost Garbutt in the warm up and our hooker during the game.

With a relatively fit squad we would give any team a real test, but we don,t.

How do they get ready without playing tho? It's difficult but its pain that has to be gone through unfortunately.

Given the injuries I had a look at Frosties' squad list. I've no idea how good they are, but as they are a bit older than academy can anyone say why Alex Sutcliffe or Waite-Pullan aren't somewhere around the first team?

Sutcliffe was excellent for Fev against Toronto on the weekend. Much better than job and Ferres

Time to get rid of the ridiculous Easter fixture pile up. It's not doing the game any good.

It's alright players/fans moaning about it but its their employers that can do something about it. Vote to reduce the number of teams/fixtures. Can't see it happening purely for financial reasons so until then these fixtures are here to stay.

The other thing is, I think the third game is probably the point where you are more likely to pick up knocks/injuries just through accumulation so the worst could be yet to come!

Waite-Pullan has been injured again. He csnt stay fit unfortunately which is a shame cos hes a terrific talent.

Personally I doubt Alex Sutcliffe will ever make the grade at Leeds. Not big enough for 2nd row and too slow for centre.
