Nah, like most of the islands in the Aegean and the Med they keep all that stuff concentrated in a few resorts. The rest of the islands are generally very pleasant.

Go two miles out from the resorts and there are no football shirt wearing spotty boys vomiting from their quad bikes nor a chlamidya infested slag anywhere in sight.

thank the Lord for that. The last time I was in Cyprus,about 10 years ago, I enjoyed the Island tremendously. Hiring a car and getting out and about.

love cyprus.we were in paphos and were told to go to a beautiful little bay called ,i think, coral bay.
it was so beautiful. except for loud music,formica tables,the smell of cheap burgers and the litter everywhere

As a general rule the fewer Brits the better for my holidays. The only exception being a resort Danny & Emma recommended - Scala in Kefalonia - which was majority British but was on a beautiful island, had loads to do and it was all families and couples. We're hoping to go back there next year.

I was rather hoping for a small cottage on the cliffs at Robin Hoods Bay for a week myself, but since the robbing bas'tads at Scarborough Council have imposed incredibly high charges on their car parks there this year they can shove it where the sun don't shine.
