This importance of Sam's return is massive not just for the obvious reasons for what he brings to League and the national side but this sends a message to Union that League can afford to out bid and buy one of the hottest properties in world rugby. That Leeds made national headlines saying we could match any offer and had the funds available was also massive PR for Leeds and SL and not only sends a message to Union but to the NRL too.
