Have you read some of the quotes attributed to Eastwood since the whole visa fiasco kicked off? Hardly sounds heartbroken about not being able to come to Leeds, and it wouldn't surprise me if the stayed at the Doggies for 2010.

I'd take that as meaning he wanted to stay at the Titans. Given he's been there since they started, and he was talking to the local paper, I can totally understand him saying that.

One question - if we could afford him how come we were unable to afford Lee Smith?

If you have genuinely accurate answers for all three then I'd be interested to hear them, given you're supposing Delaney is going to be on more than Smith wanted.

Maybe he wanted less money than Smith did.

We could have offered them the exact same salary for all we know. What's acceptable to someone from Aus, where the cost of living is lower, could very well be less than someone from the UK. Also, Lee Smith could have been offered far more money to move to Wasps.

Did you miss the bit about him turning down a 4 year deal at the Titans then? for a 3 year deal at Leeds.

THere's no saying that had we offered Smith more he'd stay. Cast your minds back a year, and Leeds weren't so keen to keep hold of him were they. Shouldn't expect loyalty in that situation.

At the end of the day Leed's will have in all probability made Delaney a better offer than the Titans, BUT the main thing is he's young, he's still learning and he's not here to finish his career and just take home a pay packet til he calls it a day

Will reserve judgement un till/if he plays for us. We can only hope that GH and BM have seen something everyone else hasn't.

It is a good point that Keith may move into the pack so there still maybe a spot for Ratu/Watkins.

What's the point of moving Senior into a more physical role in the pack this late in his career when he's one of the most creative centres in the competition?
