McLelland, Golding and Sutcliffe cannot play as they are at Featherstone after playing dual registration after the signing deadline. Mustapha still at Newcastle, Broadbent still at Batley, Trout and Waite-Pullan still at Dewsbury.

Can we not recall any? I would leave the Featherstone lads at Fev as they will get good experience in the Championship playoffs. Is Sam Walters available for first team?

Yes he is. And if they are going to give JJB a game over him just for a farewell, then it just smacks of why we have the issues we have.

It would be incredibly harsh on JJB not to give him a final game when nothing rides on it.
J JB has given tremendous service to this club

| What a distasteful comment that is.JJB deserves his farewell as a legend. This confirms why a number of people no longer post on this forum due to the KNOBS that try to monopolise it

I said if given a game "over him". I don't care about what people have done in the past, it is the past, and playing half fit has beens "at the expense" of a good plan for the future, for me shows why we are where we are.

| I think that's reading too much into it. The game itself now doesn't matter much - I wouldn't be surprised if half the team are already thinking about holidays.
Also JJB isn't your run of the mill retiree. I generally agree with giving kids a go, and he should never have played this year, but he did and deserves a send off IMO.

Fully understand what you are saying, but he spoke at the last home game and was hoping he could play one last game, let’s give him a fantastic send off to such a great servant of this club, the chap has given everything for this club and hopefully we can all give him what he truly deserves.
Gotcha, the issue here is both he and Ablett should never have been given a further contract at the end of last season, we should have been giving both these players a send off that they deserved last year, hence giving these two players contracts for this year helped stop the development of bringing in more players. Let’s hope we hear more news from Ablett, hoping he will be off at the end of the season as well

Cannot be recalled due to them being chosen to play for Featherstone over Leeds for the final games of the season.

| I would be amazed if JJB didn't play the last game/s of the season.
There is room for sentiment at this club with nothing riding on the results. These lads may be crocked now, but the reason they are crocked is because they've run through brick walls since they were teenagers for the club and for our entertainment.
That shouldn't guarantee anyone a job for life mind; but certainly a respectful farewell on the field at the very least.
The club is built on heart and loyalty as much as anything else. Some of you are little black and white in your thinking IMO.
I don't actually think Agar will take his foot too far off the pedal these last two games, but we should be resting players with serious knocks rather than risk more chronic injury for nothing. We need as many people back fit for pre-season as possible now, it's all about 2020.

| Now that we are safe, for JJB not to go out with a game at home is unthinkable.
He’s been a legend for this club, not necessarily from a physical exploit perspective, but his mental strength has been towering support for those that have played with him especially in big games.
He’s the last of the goldens, for him not to get to say goodbye would be crass and foolish when there is nothing at stake.

| Its also too late to give kids meaningful experience this year besides a debut or two. We missed the chance for anyone to get a lot of games because we were fighting relegation for over half the year.

| The club must also respect the integrity of the competition - both Salford and Warrington are fighting for a playoff place to field weakened teams will not do the reputation of SL any favours.
JJB should be given the send off he deserves - he has been a key player in the success of the club in the SL era.

I can’t see us fielding a weakened side I the players should want to finish strongly for both themselves and the fans and the coach for that matter.
Think Hurrell may be rested for Salford though, wasn’t he limping with an ankle injury?

Think you have nailed it, marketing is keyword. having said that I've no problem giving him a send off. A last clash of the oversized heads with Westwood may be entertaining?
Just great to go and know we are safe.

| This is an interesting match up really. Watson v Agar, Tui v Lui, rising, ambitious club against the old royalty.
I'd be sending a lot of heavy traffic at Tui and making it an uncomfortable day for him.
Although we have secured safety now, I don't think the fan base will be impressed by getting spanked in the final home games of the season - we're not finished yet and need to show some signs of life for next season.

| Sending heavy traffic at Tui wouldnt make it uncomfortable for him. He would just wave it through like he did for us.
I dont think we will play a weakened team but I'm hoping Corey gets a chance off the bench to gain some experience but an ankle knock at London might put pay to that. Personally I would give Jack Broadbent a game on the wing too but I cant see that happening.

Like you I'm hoping to see Corey in the first team before season end.
Broadbent - I'd give Hurrell a break, he has been struggling with knee, hamstring, ankle injuries for a while. Broadbent is a classic and classy centre for me and I'd play him at centre.
Stephens would be your man for a wing spot IMO. His footwork would cause senior players some headaches, although he's going to let a couple past him in D.
I'm not sure where we're at with loan arrangements and the ability to recall some players.
I'd like to see Walters given a go but I've seen him with some poor efforts in D and I'd worry about him playing open age until he strengthens up a bit.

| I’m sure Agar will get it right. There is no point in risking exacerbating injuries with players who are busted (Hurrell springs to mind). We could do with a good look at players like Smith, Oledzki and any Academy lads who may be first teamers next season within reason to see where they are at.
We’ve also got Donaldson and Lunt playing for contracts next year who may need more game time to help decide.
Good position to be in of course and we’ll only get so much out of two games. Sutcliffe is another who may need more time as second row/LF to see how he’s tracking into the off season because clearly that’s the area he’s heading in.
