| Glad for Lunt. It will be tough but so it should be in a final. Hill and Carvell were so strong in their first spells, Leeds' forwards will need to perform like yesterday when they get to Wembley, we know what are backs can do when giving the chance, its are Jekyll & Hyde pack that will be key.
And Webb will be fit again then, but surely McDermott can't bring him back in place of Hardaker......can he???
Pray to god Watkins stays fit and doesn't result in Zak having to switch back to centre.

| Huddersfield start well, then fade badly.
Am I talking about
(a) today's game
(b) their season
(c) all of the above?

Briers kicked well but Huddersfield's back 3 were shocking dealing with them.

| Wire deservedly won with the Giants were exposed for the pretenders they are and if i was the Giants Chairman Browns P45 would be on his desk tomorrow because once again his team have imploded on his watch.
IF we repeat yesterday we'll be better placed to win than we were 2yrs ago but we'll still need to be tighter defensively imo.

I'll second all of that.
At least we know Hardaker was better at RC ......Ablett is fast becoming the [iestablished[/i LC, IMO. He just lacks that little extra pace, but in the present SL, Wigan's LC probably falls into that catergory too and that hasn't stopped him being successful. Ablett has all the other attributes to make LC his own now. (Looks like Keinhorst might have to wait sometime for any opportunity in the same position).

| I can't see the 'Rhinos' giving us too many problems. Particulary with their minging record in Challenge Cup finals. Is it something like 5 defeats on the bounce? (including that 30-6 humiliation to us in 2010)
Given all that the mighty Wire should prepare for the after match victory celebrations right now, plus the open top bus parade through the streets of Warrington the day after.

ROUGH TRANSLATION: I would give anything for 'Rhino's' success of the last 8/9 years. But that's not possible so I will troll instead.

Wire Thunder is a ridiculous troll. He spends most of his time on the Widnes board coming out with the general crap he has on here....... Think he's actually a pie fan on the wind up.
Anyway I'm gla it's Leeds we're playing for the simple reason that if we lose I've no problem watching the likes of Peacock, Sinfield,
Burrow and McGuire picking up winners medals.

JJB had a real off day on sat, trying so hard but nothing going for him. It happens and the rest of the pack were strong.

| Interesting fixtures in the lead up to the final a trip to Catalan a week before is not ideal.
Home Bradford
Away Wakey
Away hull kr
Home widnes
Away catalan
Hopefully we will see a little rotation especially in the forwards to keep them fresh.

| There's no doubt Leeds will go in as big favourites, as the Super League and World Champions, but I think the difference will be that despite being an ageing side a little past their best, Warrington have got the big match players who have been there and done it on this occasion before and know what it takes to win at Wembley.
Leeds haven't got those big match players with experience of winning the big finals at Wembley and I think that might tell....the old guard of Briers, Morley, Monaghan and co have probably got one more big final in them.

A lot can change in the next few weeks but one thing that won't change is the fact that we have many players who know how to "win a big game or 2" the fact it's at Wembley is neither here nor there its 80 minutes for a Trophy.
It'll be tough and may the best team win but that analogy is just daft you could also say we'll be more desperate/hungrier because we haven't won the CC since 99 but that's also daft because all 34 players ,coaches club officials and fans alike will all be desperate to win.
