where is the best place to park to get away in good time after the game ? salfords official car park or maybe eccles rugby club ?

Definitely not the official car park.

Do NOT park in the official car park at the stadium unless you're prepared to watch Salfords next home game as well.

Park in Manchester city centre and walk to the stadium, it should take you no more than an hour and a half- it'll also be a damn sight quicker than trying to get out of the car park.

If you take a chance on the official car park make sure you get there early and park directly behind the stand, next to the disabled and corporates. They let them out first as they have a clear run to the single exit.

Or really late. We got there about 5-10 mins before kick off and ended up next to the coaches, which get let out first.

This is the approach I have taken for all future encounters at Salford (Eccles).

Bloody nightmare, 03.15 in the morning i got home one night, mind i was stuck in the snow over the top of M62, 2 bloody hours to get out of ground though.

Did anybody park at Eccles RL club? If so, how long did it take to walk to the ground and was it easy to get away from?

Is there a tram park n ride like there was at the willows?? Which station is it and which you get off at??

No tram connection directly to the ground Kosi all Buses or Drive mate.

When you come off the M60 turn left towards eccles. Go up the road for about 500yds or so and find somewhere round there. Theres a little social club, or I parked in one of the side streets t'other month with no road markings or parking restrictions.

Straight out afterwards back onto M60 and past all the people queueing out of the one road to the stadium

If you're driving, park on Eccles RL, much better option and only a 15 minute walk from the ground.

If on public transport, the 67 from the centre of Manchester would drop you by the pubs or just by the ground. You could also get a train to Patricroft from Victoria - it is about a 35/40 minute walk, depending on the pace you're going at, but there's 3 or 4 good pubs along the route to break it up.

Park at Eccles Rugby League club for £3. You'll be back on the motorway and probably at Huddersfield before the cars parked at the stadium are even off the stadium carpark.

Apart from anything else, you'll be putting money into the amateur game. Call in for a pre-match drink and a bite to eat - you'll be made to feel very welcome.

If you do wish to park at the stadium, you can buy your car park pass in advance from Headingley Carnegie Ticket Office, priced £5

Don't forget to get your tickets before the day and save £3 per person.

£15 is far too steep for a Cup game imo and i reckon the club would make far more charging £10 per head.

Does the park and ride work from the trafford centre on a sunday for games

The eccles rugby league club option is great, however the walk is about 25/30 mins, so consider the ability of the people in your party before deciding to park there, but no issues getting away afterwards good for that, and a very friendly club for a drink aswell.
