Perhaps not many on this board will agree with my choice. But its my choice. Are you waiting till a few others put they teams up before you put yours up so you have a popular choice or are you going to be brave like myself whose opted for who he wants with worrying that Cam. Is going to call his selection poop

McGuire has archived more with the Rhinos is what prompted me to put him as the number 6.
Best way to see Iestyn Harris legacy is that of Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy at Manchester United. Both too very good players at their clubs but didn’t hang around long enough. Like who talks about Cristiano Ronaldo now he’s at Real Madrid really?
The only time I mention him on here apart from now is when I’ve done the regrettable act of going into Nando’s. A place I sworn not to visit after that winking fiasco.

| 4 and half years is a respectable amount of time. Harris was the complete players at a very young age whereas McGuire has blossomed and matured like a good quality cheddar.
The closest prospect in SL to Harris these days is Sam Tomkins, a very well rounded player.
Not saying I don't love having Danny in the team, he is an awesome player but Harris was our organisational lynchpin and carried his Leeds sides constantly.

I agree mate BUT.... when the TEAM really needed him to stick around whilst the re-build was taking place he bolted!!
Since then mcguire has played as much as a pivatol role as anyone in turning us from "nearly men" into the "real deal" and he's continued to produce the goods year after year and remained loyal which imo earned his place in the team of the decade.

I agree with all of this here 100%.
However my personal choice comes with more a less recent seasons and around the period when I started to really attend games in 03/04. McGuire for me is in my top four favourite Leeds Rhinos players of my lifetime that consist of Brent Webb, Keith Senior, Tonie Carroll and of course Danng McGuire.
Now your probably wondering why the hell I put Tonie in they. I’m afraid to say his performances in the 2001 season for us were my favourite kind of play - a bit nostalgic if you must!

| Carroll is also one of my all time favourites as well. Such an exitement going to game knowing that Carroll and Senior were the two centres.

That being the case, Harris didn't play enough. regardless, he certainly didn't play in enough big games.
McGuire has been a match winner for us in Grand Finals. He's played in 4 (about to be 5) and, in my opinion, is a very easy selection ahead of Harris at 6. His achievements as a Leeds stand off, even as a GB stand off, probably dwarf those of Harris time at Leeds.

Yeah thats the reason I picked McGuire instead of Harris too.
If people want a straight pick between Harris at his best and McGuire at his best, then Id probably pick Harris.
Actually no sod that, Id have Harris at 6 and McGuire at 7

Harris did what everyone on this message board would have done and set himself and his family up for life with a few years in rugby union with the prospect of playing in a competitive rugby world cup. Those who say they wouldn't for the love of the club are lying.
It wasn't something that came out of the blue, he's always said he wanted to play union.
Harris was a the captain of the team that set the club on the road to where it is now.

He still chose to go when the club needed him most imo and he'd already "given up"during the season!
Yes we did know his intentions and in the end the club made plenty of money out of the deal but when it comes to "team of the decade" he doesn't feature imo and mcguire thoroughly deserves the 6 spot.
His talent is unquestionable but his departure could of been dealt with better plus this current legacy began to take shape when he was long gone hence his omission from the team of the decade.
