In light of the possible down pour tonight I wondered if away fans would be welcome in the South Stand tonight or is it a ''no go'' area for away fans?

I.e. Is their n*b-heads in there that would be more interested in having a fight then watching the game?

I've seen plenty of away fans in the SS, yes there will be some numptys but you would be very unlucky to find any trouble.

You do get a few tools in the southstand mate but i think the decent fans amongst us far outnumber them so you'd be welcome!!
If you haven't got specific southstand tickets though mate they won't let you in it's no longer a free roam area!

I was hoping you could still roam between them just incase the rain gets too terenchal.

We leave all the trouble for the east coast massive to start.

No chance of roaming between the stands these days mate I'm afraid. If it's p1ssing down you can probably pay in the back of the southstand, but you'll pretty much be stuck there.

I've got complimentary tickets tonight and they're for the south, will we have to go in there or can we choose to go elsewhere? Plus, got my lad with us who will be exchanging his junior pass so will need to be wherever he is.

those were the days when FC used to try n take over the southstand and cause trouble.. the only game you'd see police with video camera pointing into the southstand... they should have been kicked out of SL for bringing the posts down at that semi in Hudds...

South Stand tickets will only allow you access into there, you've got to use the designated turnstiles to gain entry. Don't know about exchanging junior tickets; might be worth getting there early and having a word with the ticket office.

If it says south you'll have to be in the southstand mate, been like that for a few seasons now (since 2005 season i think, all those glory supporters you know..

). especially with the reduced capacity.

I actually think that you might find that the stewards will let you go elsewhere (if you show them your ticket stub and explain) given that your son might not be able to get in the Southstand. But as everyone as already said, if you have a ticket and it does not say South Stand on it, you will not get in. If you don't have ticket you should be able to pay on the Southstand and get in, but you will not be allowed to go anywhere else.

Actually, if you go into the ticket office they might just swap the tickets for you if you have a genuine reason. Leeds and most of the stewards (the ones employed directly by the club, not the temps)are very good at being reasonable about these things... please take note Stains stewards!

The primary reason for separating the South Stand is a safety one because they have reduced the capacity of the stand and Leeds City Council felt that this needed to now have more adequate control system of numbers entering the stand. So if you want to elsewhere, I can't imagine that will be a problem.

Of course, the issue could be that if any fans don't have a ticket that they might not be able to get in after 6.00pm as HKR will be bringing at least several thousand coach loads, as well as the posh people who own cars!!!

I was going to mention this. The only time I can remember more than a handful of away supporters in the South Stand was that time. If memory serves there was a bit of handbags but nothing more, might be wrong though.

As one of the posh people coming in cars, is there a reasonable sized car park at the ground? I've only ever been on coach before, which is usually a nightmare, but was hoping to park at the ground if poss. We'll be there early as we're coming for the Reserves game.

You wont get in the car parks at the ground, they're all for really posh people, with passes n all that.

I'm afraid it'll be street parking. Your best bet is to go over the small bridge just after the South Stand, through to where the coaches park and then take a left down by the allotments. Plenty of places around there.

That's not quite true mate, you can enter any entrance with SS tickets, and therefore can stand on the western with said tickets. There is no ticket check to the western, you just go up the back behind the scoreboard. I'd recommend to the KR fans they use the Kirkstall lane entrance, which involves coming up the guinel from the coaches, but the St Michaels lane entrance would be just as good, probably abit further.
You can exit the SS, but cannot re-enter without a SS ticket. If you're payin in you won't get one I don't think.

Can you really? I thought they'd changed that when they went to electronic entry, as I'm sure I read somewhere that you had to use the South Stand turnstiles to gain admittance. Still, you live and learn.

I was in there, and didn't see any trouble. A few police were at the bottom with a camera, but that was all I saw, and probably helped prevent any trouble.

Great atmos, atleast 1500 Hull fans in there, and memorable game too.
