I think looking at it, I didn’t get Hull FC, but got Catalans and Salford, aswell as attending castleford. Would have attended Salford and Warrington had they not clashed with the mrs work nights, so I can’t grumble.

I would stand down Dwyer, Mik, Prior, Lui, maybe T Briscoe and Leeming for Friday.

If Tet, King, Smith, McLelland are about there plus Gale, I think we can field a competitive side still (most of the players coming in will be back into a 1-game per week schedule). Give our broken troops some time to recover and then bring them back in for the away fixture the next week.

After then we should be better.

If you look at the players individually, lots of them haven’t played the high intensity of games due to injuries, COVID and suspensions. It’s the handful that have played through that I’m worried about.

Big shame this game isn't on Sunday rather than Friday. Can't work out if it was a Sky choice or Leeds' preference but it's going to really hurt us.

Gale, Tet, Vuniyayawa, Smith, McLelland might be undercooked but they are all fresh, as are some of our youngsters.

Mellor has just come off a game ban.

The intensity of fixtures has impacted some players in the squad far more than others - this is a manageable couple of fixtures if we rotate those guys out for Friday IMO.

Why? Surely not for that high tackle hardly a card.

Lui should be nowhere near the team. He's a liability at the moment

disagree I think hes played well especially in defence.

Lui has done well and made a real difference in both games since his return. Easy to look at his body shape and dismiss him, but the fact is that he brings patience and control to our attack. Lui & Gale are our best half back pairing without a shadow of a doubt.

Seriously? He can barely move in defence. Everytime they ran down his channel they looked like making a break. He missed 7 out of 21 attempted tackles against Warrington.

I'd keep Leeming at 6 and bring Gale back in.

Agar has spoken before about Lui's defense, and says he looks like he misses a lot, but he actually shuts down a lot of plays early by making the right decision. They're clearly happy with the way he defends, even when stats don't look great.

I would say they look like scoring down that edge due to Hurrell rather than Lui, who teams massively target in D.

Is McLelland fit now? I know he's been included in the last couple of squads but not selected. Was always a make or break season for him but with every game that passes with us painfully short of half backs and McLelland not being picked feels like there really can't be a place for him. Or is it just that he's still injured? Never been a better opportunity for him to show he has what it takes - our forwards have been great and we've had no half backs available!
